28/03/2024: Loved the look of this place. I’m a sucker for old world style. We went a bit too early and the atmosphere was only picking up when we were leaving ie piano player and just a general increase in customers. The food is traditional French. Decent but nothing spectacular and pricey for what we got (maybe not by French standards). Service really good .

27/03/2024: We had a reservation at 9.30 and arrived at 9.40, where the owner told us to wait just a bit and a table would become available. The customers seated at the table next to us were having a laugh at us and I only understood later they must have laughed at the fact that they already knew this place is the inspiration for programs like Kitchen Nightmares. We did not wait "just a bit", but spent at least 20 minutes standing at the desk in the tight restaurant. Service would zip past us, another customer who wanted to pay tried to hide her frustration with a smile, another foreign couple had joined us in the queue and when we were finally seated, we had to wait for ages to even get the menu. The couple sitting next to us started mimicking the gesture of "two more minutes". We had such a good conversation that we forgot we were at this place for over an hour before we started to get really hungry and frustrated, something the owner had to notice before she offered us the menu. Then, we had to wait even more to place our order and get drinks. The owner only came up to us because we got really impatient and waved rather furiously. The food was all right, we both really enjoyed our starters, but I doubt it was because of the quality rather than how hungry we had gotten at the time they arrived (by now it was past 11pm). The duck tasted like chicken, was very bland and chewy, the entrecôte was great but also chewy, our garnishes were either cold (mushroom, beans) or burnt (potato). To conclude, we only got one crème brûlée while we ordered one each, which came out of a fridge and had black instead of caramelized sugar on top. Meanwhile it was past closing time and the only people left seated were us and the couple that came in after us, while everyone else was paying and getting out. This is by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in my entire life and the worst place to have introduced my girlfriend to French gastronomy. It seems like the restaurant is understaffed, doesn't know how to manage orders nor tables, and is in dire need of better chefs that can handle the pressure. The smallest gesture to show respect for our patience would have been appreciated, but rather it seems like tourists are being laughed at by fellow French customers and the staff only cares about getting your money instead of providing quality service. The original price tag was outrageous and I would have refused to pay for dishes that I can cook in a better and more elegant manner at home if we weren't provided with a huge discount through our app. This place is in dire need of a make-over if it wants to survive.

24/04/2024: La calidad de la comida es buena, se percibe fácilmente en el houmous. Los mezze son una buena opción para probar un poco de varios sabores, se acompañan con pan pita. Nosotros lo pedimos vegetariano, en lugar de la carne nos dieron queso halloumi asado. El sabor de las brasas en los vegetales fue agradable. Lugar recomendado, volvermos.

04/04/2024: While passing through Paris, I was treated to a trip to O'SULLIVANS. Bar with a Rock atmosphere. It was fun, the beer is good and the music from the DJ or the band present gives a superb atmosphere.

06/04/2024: Duck steak and raw beef are really delicious! Plus, the staff is so friendly. If you come to Montmartre, eat here.

03/04/2024: Didnt check before if they have onion soup as soup de jour. They didnt. Wife and mother in law insisted on leaving. Ordered black vine to calm me down. The staff was compassionate with me and understood my struggle. Thumbs up!

03/04/2024: This place is always fantastic, a romantic atmosphere suitable for dinners as a couple or with friends. It is located a stone's throw from the center of Montmartre, easily reachable by bus 40. The menu is typical French, perfect for trying traditional dishes. This time we tasted the soupe d'oignon, the oeuf in cocotte and the parmentier de canard, all wonderful. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

03/04/2024: Je suis très déçu car j'ai déjà mangé ici et la nourriture était de bien meilleure qualité, j'ai commandé du steak et des frites mais j'ai eu autre chose, ce n'était pas du steak, c'était de la viande similaire mais pas le steak de ramsteak et les frites maison que j'avais avant , la viande avait des os et ce n'était pas de la même qualité que celle que j'ai payée en ligne, les frites étaient dégoûtantes, jamais pires, je n'arrive pas à croire qu'ils servent des frites brûlées, ce ne sont certainement pas des frites faites maison et tout était mauvais, je suis très déçu, mon amie a laissé un pourboire à la serveuse car elle était raisonnable mais nous n'avons pas eu ce que nous avions payé, le vin avait mauvais goût et le coca cola était servi dans un verre et ils n'ont pas apporté de bouteille ni de canette, ce qui est incroyable, je n'arrive pas à croire qu'ils versent on ne sait quoi et apportent la boisson, et ils facturent comme tout le monde ! horreur

02/04/2024: No reservation needed for lunch; if you dont mind sitting at the counter. Had an excellent chicken pie special for the day and a terrine app. All's great! Love to come back again, if opportunity allows.

06/04/2024: Nice place to eat, in the gardens once occupied by portrait artists there are now 8 restaurants with outdoor tables. Expensive, but absolutely in line with the prices of other places in Paris. Excellent service, they have staff both inside and outside; on ours, the sun allowed us to occupy a table outside and I must say that it was really pleasant having lunch there. There are all the plants that act as a "roof" together with a wooden structure and the atmosphere is magical, the staff is very attentive and kind, every now and then some pigeons come to peck at food on the ground. Inside they had a group of at least 60 or 70 people plus other occupied tables as guests and I must say that, against all expectations, we found the toilet very clean.
