24/01/2026: A fantastic team. They agreed to reserve the entire restaurant for a student night. The atmosphere was incredibly friendly, the pizza (the Italian one) was amazing, and the mulled wine was exquisite!

10/02/2026: We had a wonderful time here. The menu is very varied and everything is prepared with ultra-fresh ingredients. We tried the tuna tartare with fries (cooked in beef fat) and the "donkey ears" (a type of pasta), and it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I loved the rice pudding, presented in a unique way. The service is super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Savines-le-Lac!

19/02/2026: Fantastic pizzeria! Often passing through, I love stopping for a break, strolling through the old town, and relaxing in this medieval-style restaurant.
Take the time to stop by.
15/02/2026: The pizzas and the daily specials on weekends are excellent. The portions are very generous, and the ingredients are fresh. A real treat.
The prices are more than reasonable.
We also appreciated the restaurant's medieval setting.
I highly recommend it.

18/02/2026: A stopover on our holiday route, we were very disappointed. Tasteless food, poor quality ingredients, cold assortments, all for a very high price (€26 per dish). Avoid it.
07/02/2026: Passing through Chorges, we stopped for lunch. The menu was small, but the dishes were very well-prepared and homemade, made with excellent ingredients, in a warm atmosphere with a very pleasant welcome. We will gladly return!

Open at 9 p.m., despite the restaurant being closed. I highly recommend it.

12/09/2025: We stopped here after a long days trekking and we were a bit too early for most restaurants to be open. The owner/chef was very friendly and the pizza was fantastic. The pizza base is very light and crispy with the toppings generous and delicious.

03/12/2025: Avoid this pizzeria at all costs! The owner is extremely unpleasant, the pizza was barely edible—even my dog wouldn't eat it. It's unacceptable that such a restaurant is open.
03/10/2025: We were disappointed by the welcome at Frigalou. The manager was very rude: when we wanted to specify which pizzas to order (4 in total), he asked us to be quiet, stating that there were only three, then went on to say that he was too busy and that "it's his way of working." This attitude shows little respect for customers.
The pizzas, once received, were not cut. It's a shame, because they are good in themselves, but the overall experience is spoiled by the manager's lack of consideration.

03/09/2024: Well arranged parking for camper vans and well located next to the lake, and a restaurant, very quiet, 6€50 for the night.

01/09/2024: We discovered this campsite in 2010 and were immediately won over by the beauty of the place, the functionality of the facilities, the impeccable cleanliness and the kindness and friendliness of Hervé and Arnaud. We have seen it grow over time in size and services offered: today it is certainly one of the most modern, functional and hospitable campsites of our long career as travellers/tourists. Les Rives du Lac is the ideal place for a stopover or for a multi-week stay.
The pitches are large and shaded, there are three very well equipped children's play areas, a library, three swimming pools, two of which are covered, an excellent restaurant bar, free bike rental, toilets cleaned three times a day, always hot showers. There are accommodations in bungalows and mobile homes for all needs. We recommend looking at the website which is very well done and describes all the facilities available well. And then there is the staff, always super friendly, prepared and available to help and give advice, making the stay truly pleasant. We now feel at home, every time. And so we have returned often and willingly over the years: in the meantime we have had two children who are always enthusiastic about leaving for Veynes. We highly recommend it to everyone.
