25/10/2026: An extraordinary restaurant that richly deserves its Michelin star, perhaps even a second. At Lore Ttipia, Chef John Argaud offers Basque cuisine of breathtaking precision and creativity, enhanced by his mastery of charcoal grilling. From the appetizers to the pastry chef's desserts, each dish is a superb gustatory experience. The setting is equally magnificent: dining on the terrace overlooking the vast hills of Bidarray is a truly magical moment. The service is attentive, friendly, and offers excellent advice on wine pairings. A unique address not to be missed if you are visiting the inland Basque Country.

28/08/2026: In this little cabin perched on the banks of the Nive, you can taste delicious artisanal smoked products and discover the art of cold smoking. It's well worth a visit!

12/09/2026: We stayed for one night at Hotel Barberaenea as we were passing through Bidarray on our way along the GR10. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and overall we enjoyed our dinner, although it was a bit more expensive than we had initially anticipated. The only let down for us was the service; as mentioned in a few other reviews, we didn’t find the host to be particularly welcoming or accommodating, and the restaurant was quite understaffed for what was a fairly busy evening.

18/07/2026: What a pleasure it was to stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly kind staff, always smiling, available, and attentive. It truly makes a difference, and we immediately felt welcome. We also enjoyed the restaurant, where we savored dishes that were both refined and generous. A very pleasant surprise, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and the flavors. We spent the night in absolute peace and quiet, in a large, comfortable room with a magnificent view of the mountains. A truly relaxing moment before hitting the road again. Thank you to the entire team for your warm welcome and professionalism. We will cherish the wonderful memories of our stay and will gladly return. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
