17/04/2026: Friendly atmosphere, very good raclette and fondue. Reasonable prices. A restaurant worth trying in Les Arcs 1800.

12/04/2026: So, for our weekend ski trip with friends, we chose this restaurant with plenty of space. The waitress and owner were friendly, and the rib steak and beef bourguignon were excellent. The prices were reasonable too. In short, highly recommended if you're visiting Les Arcs 1800.

24/10/2025: A friend and I decided to spend a week in Les Chapieux exploring the valleys and discovering the local flora and fauna. It wasn't until the third night that we decided to dine at the Auberge de La Nova. As soon as we sat down, the La Nova burger caught our eye on the menu, and we didn't even have to speak before the owner immediately guessed what we wanted! He said, "You'll see, it's amazing." Well, he wasn't lying. From the first bite, my friend and I looked at each other and it was indeed amazing! It was so good that we decided to come back every night of the week, and that's exactly what we did! The burgers are incredible. We also tried a few desserts, including the Pavlova and the chocolate fondant, which were also truly to die for. The welcome was super warm: the waiters, the cooks, the owner, and his wife were all lovely and friendly. It was heartbreaking to have to leave on the last day... but one thing is certain: we'll be back! And this time, we'll go every night of our stay to enjoy La Nova's delicious burger :) Thank you so much 🙏 Les Petits Suisses 🐍

27/09/2025: Basic auberge in Les Chapieux. It is probably the main option on this part of the TMB with the next hut “Refuge des Mottets” a good distance away. Big campsite in front of the auberge - campers welcome to utilise the facilities in the hut so get your showers in early. Dorms were a little crammed and beds very squeaky. Dinner was good and really hearty - Chicken Velasquez, rice, and a delicious soup. Breakfast might as well have not been served it was so pathetic. Packed lunch was good though.

10/04/2026: Fantastic grocery store with regional products! I tried their Morbier cheese, Raclette, and Smoked Raclette; everything was delicious, but a special mention goes to the Smoked Raclette, which was particularly good! They also offer roast chickens that are very tasty, perfectly seasoned with spices, and wonderfully juicy—perfect for a comforting meal. The snack bar, open all day, is also a great option for a quick bite or an afternoon treat, especially with a delicious Liège waffle. Don't leave without trying the walnut tart—it's absolutely delicious!

24/03/2026: The man was not very pleasant; he even suggested my wife had stolen a bar of chocolate. A sad shopkeeper.

20/02/2026: We dined there three times during the week with my parents and two daughters. The service was excellent, the menu offered a wide variety of choices, perfect for the whole family, and the food was really good. A special shout-out to Tom and Lucas 😉 Looking forward to coming back next year!

11/02/2026: The restaurant offers truly delicious food with generous portions that justify the price. However, the service leaves much to be desired. When you ask to take your leftovers home, you receive unpleasant looks. Furthermore, without any explanation, a simple plastic container is placed on the table for the leftovers, as if it were up to you to fend for yourself, without any help or consideration from the staff. This somewhat spoils the experience despite the quality of the meal.

15/03/2026: A nice place where we had lunch. The welcome was warm, and the food was good. Be aware, though, that you need to allow some time as the service isn't very fast.

12/03/2026: A truly unique experience. First, we were refused the menu; apparently, the effort of fetching it was too much for the waitress, Sophie. Then, there was an order error. We received a coffee and a hot chocolate instead of a tea. No problem, these things happen. However, there was a problem when the waitress sighed as we pointed it out. Finally, there was a billing error. I paid for a coffee and a hot chocolate, not a coffee and a tea. I only realized this after the bill arrived and didn't bother to ask for a refund of the few cents difference. Thanks a lot, Sophie.

13/04/2026: A superb discovery! Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the generous portions. The atmosphere is very pleasant, ideal for having a great time. I will definitely be back!

17/04/2026: When I received my order, three sauces that I had paid for were missing. I ordered a burger with a pickle, but there weren't any. I had ordered veggie nuggets, and noticing the missing sticker indicating they were veggie, I went to the counter. They took my needs into account, and when I asked if they were indeed veggie, they replied, "NORMALLY THEY'RE VEGGI." They gave me a coffee stirrer instead of a fork, which I had to ask for. This isn't the first time I've encountered this kind of thing in your establishment, and frankly, it's disappointing. I do the same job, so I know what I'm talking about. The organization needs to be reviewed, especially since I wasn't there during peak hours, so there weren't many people.

16/04/2026: Half an hour's wait for a single meal, and luckily I only spoke to them after 20 minutes. It wasn't even busy at lunchtime. They forgot my order and remade it without a single apology. What a shame... sometimes just a word is enough to calm people down.
