29/04/2026: Nguyen-Hoang, a Vietnamese restaurant in Marseille's Old Port district, is quite popular, with the entrance already packed with customers waiting and dining at lunchtime. The restaurant has limited seating, making the space feel a bit cramped, and the tables and chairs show signs of age. However, the owner is very welcoming and proactively guides customers to their seats, a definite plus.
This time, I ordered Vietnamese pho and roasted duck rice. The tableware is simple and homey, without much decoration. The pho broth was rather cloudy, presumably because raw meat slices were cooked directly in the broth, lacking the crispness of pre-processed meat, resulting in a slightly less flavorful dish. The roasted duck rice was rather ordinary, falling slightly short of my expectations.
Overall, for the Old Port area, the prices are relatively affordable. It's fine if you just want a quick meal, but if you have more time, I suggest considering other areas where you might find more refined and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine.

Still no dine-in service, but I only come in the off-season.
January 2024: Takeout only.
Open every lunchtime except Sunday, and in the evening, even on Sundays.
Comprehensive menu of Vietnamese specialties, decent food; we generally enjoyed all the dishes except for one or two out of three orders for four people.
Very reasonable prices.

01/04/2026: Passing through Auriol, we popped into this unassuming Asian restaurant. And we weren't disappointed. It's a far cry from the huge Asian restaurants that pop up in shopping centers. Here, you get quality dishes, fresh and made on-site, all you can eat, and served at your table. That makes all the difference. A real treat. It's a shame we were only passing through the area. We highly recommend it.
26/02/2026: We love coming to this restaurant. The owner is lovely. As for the food, the selection is very varied: skewers, spring rolls, dumplings, sushi, Asian salads, bo bun, mochi... There's something to please everyone, although our favorites are the shrimp skewers, spring rolls, and salads...

The staff was unfriendly. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and received shrimp fritters instead, a misunderstanding due to the accent of the woman who served me, which was difficult to understand.
I specifically ordered two medium portions of fried rice, ten chicken spring rolls, nougat, an apple fritter, a chicken spring roll, and five shrimp fritters. The total came to €40.30, quite expensive for what I ordered… Looking at their price list, which is displayed in the restaurant, there was an eight-euro difference. I went there to point out an error in the price I paid, and the owner's daughter "calculated" it and told me she'd made a mistake of a few cents in my favor… This could all have been resolved if they had given me the receipt as I requested… My final feeling is that I was ripped off, so be sure to ask for your detailed receipt!
