A rather exceptional culinary experience, beautiful flavors, precise cooking, and incredible attention to detail in the decoration of the dishes. The beauty and refinement of the dishes contribute greatly to this beautiful culinary escapade through beefsteak tomatoes, lobster, caviar.... Conversely, we were disappointed by the service, only false notes! The waiter came to take our choice of wines even though we did not have the menu [...difficult to choose... ] Clearing one of the plates while my partner was still eating... Coffee served without spoon or sugar. .. We choose the “prestige” wine pairing at €90 per person / 5 glasses [white wine pairings of our choice]. We were very surprised to see different wines [different countries, grape varieties, winemakers] served in the same glass! New trend? New practice? The explanations given by the server did not convince us, especially the ecological argument! What a shame!

Third gourmet restaurant for my part, having a lot of expectations for this starred restaurant, unfortunately I left disappointed. Dishes with high quality ingredients but without much research. Out of 7 dishes 5 were with fish. The different white wines served in the same glass at the end I have a mixture of 4 white wines in the same glass. The servers are very pleasant but lack professionalism and finesse.

Dinner in 7 courses last week, impatient to return to 1741 since its reopening. Although the dishes seemed less sophisticated than on our previous visits, they remained of high quality, used local and quality products, and were not the reason for our disappointment. We specified when choosing the menus that we did not eat meat, to which we were told that the 9-course menu would not be possible, but that the 5 and 7-course menus could be adapted. After choosing the 7-course menu, we were informed that the main meat course would be replaced by a cheese platter. Although a cheese platter is not, for us, equivalent in terms of quality and price to an elaborate main course, we acquiesced. However, one of the other main courses on the menu had, for half the plate, a rasher of bacon which was served to us as is. After pointing it out, the waiter apologized, took our plates back and came back almost immediately with identical plates just without the slice of bacon... Finally, one of the glasses of wine that we had with the food and wine pairing formula was served without us having had any explanation before asking for some at the end of the dish with which it was paired. The 1741 remains a real institution where we spent several lovely evenings, and the service remained pleasant, with smiling and friendly people. The difficulty of putting together a 7-course menu without meat is completely understandable. However, we would have appreciated being informed of the replacement of a main course by a cheese platter before making the menu choice, as well as of the fact that one of the other main courses would simply have its meat part removed without a replacement proposal, while paying the same price as the normal menu. For the first time, we were seated in the downstairs room with two other couples. The room and the tables remain well decorated, but there is an awkward proximity to the other customers in this room, where it is difficult to ignore the surrounding discussions and the explanations of the dishes that we were about to receive. This will unfortunately be our last visit to this restaurant, which no longer meets, for us, the standards it once had. We would no longer recommend it at this time, especially for people who do not eat meat.

A first for the family. The children were impressed, the feeling of not having all the codes... But as soon as the appetizers were tasted, their shoulders relaxed. After the first course, the eyes widened... We attacked the lobster in its larded coat with a smile! Smile that accompanied us to the macaroons and chocolate. The staff were able to welcome us with tact and sympathy. Sapiens sapiens sapiens! Taste and beauty do the rest

An experience worth it! High quality food with super service. Definitely recommended.

Very nice star restaurant with a choice of 5, 7 and 9 course menus. Food requests are taken into account and each course is explained. Great selection of wine. The staff is very friendly, competent and accommodating. Just great.

Du début à la fin ce fur une excellente soirée, réussie. L'accueil est affable, chaleureux. On se sent tout de suite bien, et on bien traité. Cadre splendide : en cette soirée de mi juin on voit pendant très longtemps l'Ill, le Palais Rohan,... La table ronde est très adaptée, nous sommes 5, tout le monde se voit et peut se parler. Et donc le menu à 5 temps que nous avons pris est succulent. les mets, les sauces d'une finesse extra, sublime du début au dessert. Le pain est également excellent. L'accompagnement Boisson s'accorde parfaitement : il faut laisser faire les pros, il n'y a rien à redire, on fait des découvertes en permanence. Possibilité également d'accords sans alcool, et l'un d'entre nous en a pris un : original et très bon. Enfin le service : tout le personnel qui nous a servi est professionnel, raffiné, sans être trop guindé, manie l'humour facilement, ça en fait une soirée sympathique et très réussie. Merci à toute l'équipe, sincèrement !

Excellente table. Restaurant situé dans une ancienne maison. Donc atypique, nous sommes placés au 1er étage, table avec vue sur la rivière, sympa. Menu surprise, avec choix 5 ou 7 services. Le personnel très professionnel, est présent tout en étant discret. Les assiettes sont magnifiques, quelques belles surprises. Cave intéressante avec des prix très raisonnables, de quoi se faire plaisir. Donc très beau restaurant 1*. Merci à toute l'équipe pour ce beau moment.
