A la marmite dieppoise sur Dieppe

We had a wonderful time on Mother's Day. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Good restaurant with carefully presented lunch. Not expensive and excellent service. The seafood platter was comprehensive. An 'amuse bouche' was included.

Wonderful Mother's Day meal! The specialty, the Marmite Dieppoise, was excellent, with fresh fish and an amazing sauce!! The cheese platter was superb, and the dessert was delicious and truly Norman!!! The service was discreet and friendly, the bread was very good, and the St. Nicolas de Bourgueil was perfect and reasonably priced!!! Well done, keep up the good work, we'll be back!!!

The sauce in the Dieppe-style stew was lukewarm, even cold; the pot itself was very lukewarm. At first, I thought this was intentional, as it was a heatwave, but then I saw the sauce from the next table arrive steaming hot. The fish and scallops were very good, but the sauce (about 40cl) was a shame; the taste of flour was overpowering, with no hint of spices or spice—basic, I could do better myself. The candle underneath was pointless. The accompanying boiled potato pieces were insufficient (about one potato). The cheeses (three pieces) were excellent and melted beautifully. In the apple tart, we couldn't taste the Calvados at all (but we've experienced this in other places that claim to use a little Calvados), thankfully the caramel was very good. The welcome was also cold (except for the pleasant young waitress), but we felt that in many shops in Normandy, but for us, if the service provided was adequate, that was very good. In short, disappointed, even though we were looking forward to it.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant while just passing through. We opted for the €35 set menu. The value for money was excellent. The portions were generous, and the seafood and fish were cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh. The turbot dish and desserts were refined and delicious. The seafood appetizer was also quite substantial. I highly recommend it!

A truly wonderful experience… the sauerkraut, the stew!!! Delicious… and the portions were generous! Friendly service. We were so hungry we couldn't wait to take a picture!!!
