A l'ombre du clocher sur Menton

Very nice discovery. Despite a busy terrace, the waitress was very friendly and smiling. As for the pizzas, they were excellent.

After sightseeing Menton for an hour or so I wanted some dinner so A l'ombre du clocher seemed like a nice place. It was very busy as we arrived at opening time. Lovely staff. Food good, service good. Lovely seating arrangements outside on the patio sections. Good price. An amazing spot for dinner.

I called ahead for a reservation because it’s a small place with predominately outdoor dining. The food is delicious and the service friendly. They take cash and credit card. I ordered the Tuna stake and my husband got the Octopus both were delicious. My only wish is that they had been seared or lightly charred just a little to provide more depth of flavor and texture. With the salad, fries and bread that came with it and we a glass of the dry Chardonnay and dry Rosé, we were too full for dessert. The price for 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine was about 42€ I would definitely return when in town again.

We went there for the music festival with friends following their recce Although in the city center it is not close to many others by the sea so it is pleasant it makes it a smaller village The atmosphere and the music was super nice even if a little too loud it's a shame we enjoy less The service a little long but there were people… however very good welcome and service For the dishes, it was special for the music festival so quite simple... having also had a restaurant in Menton it reminded me of the quick dishes for the lemon festival. We feel that the products are of quality but it is very traditional and not exceptional either. The gorgonzola sauce had a good taste but it was really too watery. Dessert level, good but not exceptional either, classic but maybe again because it was a special day so to do with another test ;-) because again good welcome and atmosphere
