Against The Grain sur Lyon

What a fantastic find! I stumbled upon this place while walking down the street, and I never expected such high quality! Everything is vegan and 100% homemade, and you can tell. A small team, a warm welcome, a cozy counter, original vegetarian and vegan dishes, and all at a very reasonable price! A brunch for €25 includes a starter, main course, dessert, a cold drink, and a hot drink, all of excellent quality. The pancakes are superb (with or without gluten). I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend the €1 extra vegan whipped cream :)

It was delicious and warm, thank you for the welcome and the quality of your menu!

An excellent vegan restaurant. The portions are generous, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere is friendly. In short, I highly recommend it.

I got the tofu wrap and it was the perfect lunch for a hot summer day. My French isn’t great but the woman working was beyond helpful and patient with me. This was the first place I ordered food from in person since being in France and it was a very pleasant experience. I love the variety of options here, I’ll definitely be returning.

Today, a day off for me, I had lunch at Against the Grain and, as always, it was a truly comforting experience. The dishes are prepared with fresh, flavorful, and high-quality ingredients, all accompanied by the usual impeccable service. What a joy to be able to choose your meal in complete peace of mind, without having to decipher every line of the menu only to end up, by default, with the infamous plate of fries... A huge thank you to Alison and her entire team for their warm welcome, the welcoming atmosphere of the place, and, above all, for all these delicious meals that are as good for the body as they are for the soul. Special mention for the cinnamon roll: it's my guilty pleasure, along with the lemon meringue pie 😋 If you're looking for a place to recharge, fill up on good vibes and vitamins, go for it… you won't be disappointed!

Amazing food and amazing service! They’re super thoughtful and even have home-made vegan cheese 😍

A place I absolutely love! I've been twice, and I enjoyed it both times. The food is good without being ordinary, and the staff is friendly. What more could you ask for? ;)

The food was very delicious, and the raspberry cake was especially good.

My favorite restaurant 💜 I love their cakes, like tiramisu, tropezienne, fraisier... the menu changes regularly and the atmosphere is really great, plus it's not very expensive. A must-try!!!

A reliable choice in Lyon. A very good vegan restaurant. A bit pricey for the portion size. I recommend it.
