A great find! This little restaurant on the pedestrian street is lovely, with a warm welcome. The food is excellent, and the menu is extensive. We highly recommend it.

A great place to eat delicious sushi and other Japanese food. I always enjoy coming here. The food is good, the service is excellent, and there's never a long wait. I highly recommend this place. They also have a very extensive menu, which makes you want to try everything. I just want to point out that I find some of the items rather expensive, but that's just my personal opinion.

A little disappointed considering the overall rating of 4.4. We ordered takeout, and even though we live only 5 minutes away, the order was lukewarm. There was very little salmon and avocado in the salad. The sushi was enjoyable but not exceptional. The service was only moderately friendly, and the wait was very long (30 minutes). A little smile would have been nice!

The welcome is friendly and the menu is very extensive. The dining room isn't very large but it's clean and nicely decorated. The dishes are good and generous. The bill is reasonable. A must-try for Japanese food in Saintes.

More than just a meal, it's a true haven of kindness. I fell in love with the incredible friendliness of the staff at Akashiso. Their warm and attentive welcome makes all the difference. A must-try for the food, but especially for the people 🩵

18/05/2026: The room decor was very personal. However, the location was very quiet and pleasant. More affordable food options would be a plus.
16/05/2026: This is a place we regularly stop on our holiday route near Saintes. We particularly love the peaceful terrace bordering the lovely park with its beautiful trees and pond, home to a few ducks, a swan (her name is Mathilde), and even a heron. We also appreciate the service, which is always professional and friendly. And we love the location, less than 5 minutes from the motorway exit.
