I've been to L'Arrière Pays several times, it's a very good restaurant! I recommend the open-faced sandwiches, which are original and delicious 👍🏻

No reservation needed. Really good price for Old Lille. Extremely welcoming. And a good menu. A classic that never gets old.

When I'm in Lille on my own, I always make sure to visit this restaurant where I can always find a table, even without a reservation! I chose the Canebière tartine as part of a set menu. I wasn't disappointed. The raspberry chocolate crumble dessert was also excellent. Fast service. Hot food. Pleasant waiters. I highly recommend it for its great value!

We've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, we just went back for lunch today and it's still just as delicious with lovely service from the staff! We highly recommend it!

There were six of us, and we were seated at a round table upstairs, perfect for chatting and enjoying a pleasant time with friends. One small drawback: the table was right next to the restrooms, so there was constant back and forth throughout the meal. The Welsh rarebit was good but rather salty. The dessert menu didn't appeal to us. The service was adequate.
