Assiette du Coq à l'Ane sur Gerardmer

We came for lunch today with my dad and had a lovely time at L’Assiette du Coq à l’Âne. The welcome, the decor, the service, the atmosphere, and the food: everything was done to ensure our satisfaction. We thank the entire team.

A real gem! While passing through Gérardmer, we were incredibly lucky to have lunch there as a family of four (without a reservation); everything was absolutely perfect. The setting is superb, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the welcome was amazing: smiles, attentiveness, kindness—you immediately feel at ease. And what can we say about the food? Pure bliss! Every dish was flavorful and perfectly executed; we enjoyed every bite from start to finish. From appetizer to dessert, the quality is truly exceptional: the snails are outstanding (and that's coming from someone from Burgundy!), the Savoyard fondue is good, the burger was delicious, and the desserts were exquisite (floating islands, chocolate shells, gourmet coffee); we also appreciated the wines that were recommended to us. Honestly, not a single flaw: go without hesitation, we recommend it 200%!

We tried the vegan burger with a pumpkin patty. The burger was decent, but we were less impressed with the fries. We were served a cheese appetizer, and after mentioning we were vegan, it was replaced with purple potato chips. Efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Superb restaurant, the atmosphere is great. The menu is short, so the ingredients are fresh and high quality.

During our visit, we received a wonderful welcome and were delighted with our meals.

A very warm welcome in a beautifully decorated room. The fire in the fireplace on a rainy Saturday was very comforting. Attentive, pleasant, and professional waiters. Generous meal. It fits the advertised "local" theme, but is not at all rustic. The ingredients are high-quality. The food allergy mentioned at the time of booking was noted and taken into account for the daily menu (substitute starters provided). I highly recommend it!

We went to discover the restaurant thanks to a smartbox invitation. A very nice discovery, entering via the Grand Hotel, then passing through the flower gardens. We were able to enjoy a complete and varied meal, starter panna cotta bacon peas, main course halibut asparagus spätzle butternut, cheese, and a large plate of varied desserts. The staff is very attentive, we had a great time. To do again without hesitation ...
