At'able! sur Chinon

The food was excellent, but there was too long a wait between courses.

I had a great time, the waitress was very friendly. The food was good, made with fresh ingredients.

I had visited At Table during two previous stays in Chinon, and I found the restaurant very good, but on this third visit, I felt the standard had been raised. There was a real sense of artistry in the starters (rillons de Touraine with green lentil purée and violet mustard whipped cream – a truly sublime way to elevate local charcuterie), the main courses (yellow chicken mille-feuille with vegetables and a rich violet curry jus, perfectly cooked cod with creamy risotto and silky beurre blanc), and a sublime dessert: chocolate fondant with matcha tea crème anglaise, yellow kiwi mousse, and lemon-tarragon ice cream – a truly explosive combination. All these dishes are offered at a very reasonable price (under €38). And if you add to that a fruity and lingering Chenonceau white wine, you leave with stars in your eyes! Furthermore, the welcome was very friendly and the service was highly efficient and well-rehearsed.
