Au Croissant Doré sur Colmar

The interior of the shop was filled with antique and vintage furniture and colorful walls, creating a really lovely space. It was a Sunday morning and the shop was nearly full to capacity. I ordered a Vienna chocolat and the shop's original Vienna chocolat. The regular chocolate is 35% cacao, while the original chocolate is 92%. It was a very cozy shop.

It was like a museum of nostalgia. But it was crowded, and it was hard to find a seat. Frankly, the staff couldn't keep up with the customers.

When we arrived, there was a bit of a line to get in. But the quality and deliciousness of the products make it worth it! If we return to Colmar, we'll definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick.

They leave you waiting at the door, even if you're cold and there are empty tables, until the owner decides to seat you. It's not worth it. The place is nice, but nothing amazing.

The place is very nice, typical, and popular. The cappuccino was just okay, and there weren't many pastries to choose from, although the ones I did choose were very good. (Croissant 🥐😋)

I'm a huge croissant lover; they're a must-have whenever I visit France. After reading the reviews of this place, I decided to try it. When you arrive, they make you wait outside, and if it's busy, you have to wait for the waitress to let you in. They have a great variety on the menu, so you can choose well. The coffee was good but small, and for what we paid, very expensive! It's a cup slightly larger than a cortado, and we paid €5 each! That said, the croissant was delicious. I've had better, but this one was really good, with just the right amount of butter. The best part is that when we arrived, we ordered three croissants, and they only had two left. The person who served us told us they only had two and that we should order something else, but at that moment, the person who makes them came out and heard us talking. She was Latina, so she understood us perfectly and told us that if we weren't in a hurry, she'd have a fresh batch ready in 5 minutes. Obviously, we waited, and they brought them freshly baked. Delicious! The place is idyllic and very charming. Being a vintage place, be careful with the chairs, as they are antique. One of them had a nail sticking out and it scratched my trousers. If I had been wearing tights, they would have been ruined. When I mentioned it to the person in charge, they offered to give us a free breakfast, but I refused. We paid the full price; I simply told them to remove the chair until it was repaired and that we would pay for what we had eaten. A €20 tip was automatically charged! Three croissants and three coffees. In my opinion, a bit pricey!

The staff were very friendly, and even if you have to wait a little while, it's worth it. The croissant and madeleine were magnificent.
