Charming, peaceful spot on the banks of the Dronne. Traditional cuisine, regional dishes. One set menu, but everything can be ordered à la carte.

The food was passable, bordering on mediocre. We ordered salads (average) and duck confit, which was reheated and tasteless. However, the worst thing by far was the time we spent eating. We arrived at 12:35 and left almost at 3:00 PM, even though it wasn't peak season. Far too long.

Not much open in January. I came by chance, and wasn't disappointed at all. Typical dishes, very much featuring duck... but well prepared. Dinner by the fireplace with cloth tablecloths and napkins. Impeccable service, a great place for a winter meal. Enjoy your meal! If these few words are helpful.

22/03/2026: A quick stop for a coffee during the staff break. Very welcoming, friendly and smiling staff. They even pay attention to "small" customers who are just passing through.

12/04/2026: The Superior room we booked was not in any way superior. The hotel feels very dated, having none of the chic that we experienced around the region in other hotels on our week tour. We stayed in far better rooms in far better hotels for a lot less, therefore this felt disappointing. The room was bland, consisting of white wood chip walls and grey furniture- the wardrobe looked like Draculas coffin! There was a telephone in the room but no tea or coffee facilities. Why put a phone in a room but not a kettle or a coffee machine? That’s not very superior. The bathroom was also bland, but clean. The shower had no power, just a trickle. Disappointingly, the river tranquil view was spoiled by traffic noise.
08/04/2026: Thank you for this delicious experience. Rose was very pleased with her meal, thanks to the attentive service of the head waiter.
