We were on a motorcycle road trip and stopped in this town for a meal. After being turned away from several other restaurants, which were all full, we stumbled upon Co The Cafe quite by chance… and what a pleasant surprise! We received a wonderfully warm welcome, with genuine kindness and a relaxed atmosphere. The value for money is truly excellent, with fresh, local ingredients and delicious food. A fantastic find! We highly recommend this place and will gladly return if we have the chance. Thank you for the warm welcome! 😊🏍️

The welcome was rather cold. The waitress didn't seem very friendly, which made us feel unwelcome. I hope this feeling wasn't just our appearance 😕. It's a shame, because a warmer, more respectful welcome would make a big difference. On the other hand, their matcha is very good, which is a plus.

A small café in the heart of Brantôme, impeccable service and delicious (homemade) food. The lemon/orange blossom lemonade was delicious, as was the pastry of the day, "Apricot tart and apricot sorbet".

The setting is lovely, however, if you have the misfortune of asking for a glass of water during a heatwave, you'll likely be met with something along the lines of "that's not how I'm going to make a living," delivered in a decidedly unfriendly tone. It's a real shame, I think, for such a charming establishment.

20/09/2026: Contrary to the comments of disgruntled and demanding tourists, this restaurant is highly recommended. We had lunch as a couple on a sunny Sunday, September 20th, so the restaurant was packed. The welcome and service were impeccable, provided by a young and friendly team. The service was perfect, and the regional dishes were excellent. It's worth noting that in September, the majority of customers were locals, which reasonably suggests that this isn't a tourist trap, as some reviews might imply—those reviews from people who, it seems, eat much worse at home.
