A wonderful place to buy tea with very precise advice.

The best Christmas Eve present I ever had - those precious handmade beautifully crated n designed by Au Fond du Jardin which m n my family managed to lay hands on. We managed to hv only one box of 8 diff kinds of creation n something which I embraced n treasure S after having them. Well balanced amazing taste that gives u a WOW sensation w every bite. It was a 2 hour long wait n fearing they will close on us as on d eve they operate only d morning half. I was blessed being d last one yes last one they could take before they were closed for the Xmas season. Although I had limited choices I pleased to satisfy my flying into Strausbourg just for d medelines n throughly lucky to hv Fred serving n yes he made my wish come true. He came back in from the kitchen w 8 diff flavours n taking the love n joy n passion to explain what each n every piece of medeline is made off - how awesome is it! One could feel the sky high passion n love he has for his products n to top off the icing at d top, we were blessed w truffles! Yes choc truffles n they were heavenly indeed heavenly to the core! The 2 hours of wait was worth it n I certainly will return for more. Thank you Fred for making my trip fruitful successful meaningful n filled w so much joy to tick off the checklist! See you again soon n for those yet to try these lovely medelines - make it yr bucket list ….

Original and excellent teas, and madeleines that are like little jewels.

I placed a group order with my colleagues, and I personally chose Teatime in Edinburgh (which I tried on Saturday) and Du côté de chez Swann (which I tried on Sunday). I've tasted some indulgent teas, but these really blew me away! They're so delicious, there's nothing more to say. I had planned to serve them with some financiers, but that would have ruined the perfectly balanced richness of each tea. I put the pastries away and simply enjoyed my teas!

A place of quality, renown, and pure gentleness. Thank you for this LIGHT ✨️ another very successful TEA TIME; the experience is always so soothing. We'll see you next year for another moment of sharing and poetry. The madeleines, teas, and marshmallows are excellent, both delicate and intense—superb creations. BRAVO for all these years! 👏🏻

The space is really small, limited to 4 people per visit just to buy the madeline/tea/mashmellow and more. The tea time is full really quick so recommend booking months in advanced. Unfortunately it's full until next year February 😭. We got madelines and the mashmellow, it's truely an eye opening experience. The texture hits the spot and the flavor were quite unique. And I must mention the full christmas vibe that the shop is, definitely a photo spot. They also give you really fancy bag with a spray of perfume (decent amount).

The moment you step inside, you enter the refined and poetic world of the owner, a man of rare elegance and passion, who recounts the stories behind his teas and pastries with genuine emotion. Each tea has a soul, each madeleine a story – often inspired by mythical places or illustrious figures. Here, you don't simply enjoy a cup of tea: you live an experience, a sensory and cultural journey. There were three of us, and we opted for the tasting menu. We sampled three teas, all different, all sublime. The pairing with the pastries was perfect. The ambiance, the music, the British charm of the place… everything combines to make this an exceptional experience. A magical place, at once delicate, warm, and deeply inspiring. I can't wait to return to discover the new décor for Christmas! Because yes, the tea room changes its look every season! A must-see.
