People often say that service in France is not always the most attentive, but yesterday in Dijon I had a completely different experience. I walked into a restaurant with only one hour left before my train. I asked whether I could sit upstairs and whether there was air conditioning. They told me that no one was seated there yet, but they would turn it on especially for me. Within half an hour, they served me a delicious boeuf bourguignon. After all, how could I leave Dijon without tasting one of Burgundy’s most iconic dishes?

We had the pork tenderloin and beef bourguignon, both were delicious and served with a side of potatoes that were nicely done. It was a busy Sunday evening but service was prompt and friendly.

This was probably the most salivating I ever did in a restaurant, I wasn’t expecting much from the price but me and my boyfriend got a beef piece with some fries and chicken linguine with a chorizo sauce. Everything was absolutely amazing, I was about to order another dish. My new favorite restaurant here.

Brasserie l'Alhambra

14/05/2026: A truly colorful character, the owner gave us a warm welcome, which is so rare these days! The Alhambra's daily menu is not only excellent, but it's bursting with flavor! That's also rare these days… So we came twice during our short stay in Dijon. Perhaps we'll see you again sometime, kisses from the Auvergne region.
31/03/2026: I love this kind of place; it's efficient, no fuss, and has a light and friendly atmosphere.
