Au Petit Tonnelier is a real gem to discover in downtown Strasbourg for lovers of homemade, local and seasonal cuisine. Vincent has been delighting gourmets in his restaurant since 1995 and he is truly passionate about good things. The room is chic and refined, ideal for romantic dinners, for example. We loved the tartare which was delicious! The fresh fries clearly make the difference. The chocolate cake was also to die for. I will come back this winter to test other proposals.

Always a great pleasure to come and eat at the little cooper. Very good welcome, modern cuisine with Alsatian accents, very well located, premises always perfect, front and window revisited regularly. Special mention for the smile and good humor of the boss and his team.

09/09/2024: The service was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, friendly and professional, making us feel comfortable and welcome. However, I regret to say that the food did not live up to our expectations. In particular, the meat we received was far from acceptable. It was extremely hard, almost like rubber, and almost impossible to eat. The texture of the meat was so unappetizing that we had to make considerable effort to chew it, and in the end our jaws were quite tired. Unfortunately, we were forced to eat it so as not to waste the food, but the experience was disappointing. Although we appreciated the excellent service, the quality of the meat left much to be desired. We hope that the restaurant can remedy this problem, because with such good service and an improvement in the quality of the food, they could offer a much more satisfying dining experience.

01/09/2024: A rather exceptional culinary experience, beautiful flavors, precise cooking, and incredible attention to detail in the decoration of the dishes. The beauty and refinement of the dishes contribute greatly to this beautiful culinary escapade through beefsteak tomatoes, lobster, caviar.... Conversely, we were disappointed by the service, only false notes! The waiter came to take our choice of wines even though we did not have the menu [...difficult to choose... ] Clearing one of the plates while my partner was still eating... Coffee served without spoon or sugar. .. We choose the “prestige” wine pairing at €90 per person / 5 glasses [white wine pairings of our choice]. We were very surprised to see different wines [different countries, grape varieties, winemakers] served in the same glass! New trend? New practice? The explanations given by the server did not convince us, especially the ecological argument! What a shame!
31/08/2024: Third gourmet restaurant for my part, having a lot of expectations for this starred restaurant, unfortunately I left disappointed. Dishes with high quality ingredients but without much research. Out of 7 dishes 5 were with fish. The different white wines served in the same glass at the end I have a mixture of 4 white wines in the same glass. The servers are very pleasant but lack professionalism and finesse.
