We had a wonderful time at this restaurant with its typical decor and atmosphere. Excellent sauerkraut and good wine. The service was friendly and welcoming.

We received a very warm welcome, arriving at 1 p.m. on a Friday without a reservation, as a group of four. They offered us a table at 1:15 p.m., which was perfect for us.
The lunch menu was generous, and we all thoroughly enjoyed both the starters (open-faced sandwiches, quiche, vegetable soup) and the main courses (the sauerkraut was delicious, and the pork loin and veal cordon bleu were also very much appreciated). A truly excellent place, but booking in advance is highly recommended: it gets very busy during the week at lunchtime! Kudos to the whole team and thank you for your hospitality, the warm atmosphere, and the change of scenery!

The sauerkraut and desserts were excellent.
Perhaps the first course could have been a little more substantial; two potatoes seemed a bit meager. Nevertheless, the cabbage was delicious and the meat very good.

A superb winstub in Strasbourg. Alsace at its finest, welcoming and delighting its visitors. Generous and comforting regional cuisine, and quality wines. A particular favorite is the unfiltered Muscat and the plum sorbet (made with Jacky's plums). If you're in Strasbourg, book a table; it's very popular.

For those with sensitivities, beef is available, and they are accommodating to minor requests for changes to the dishes. I really liked it; the waiters were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious.

A Strasbourg local recommended this place to me and I am so thankful for the recommendation. From the moment I walked in the friendly, busy neighborhood restaurant vibe was so joyful. The elderly couple next to me were obvious regulars, chatting with other patrons, asking me how I liked my food, sharing their wine and conversation with the wait staff. Loved soaking all of this in. I tried 3 glasses of wine recommended by one of servers and they were all excellent. I ordered choucroute garnie for my main course - delicious and hearty just the way it should be. Would love to return to this place and Strasbourg!
