Excellent little Slavic/Ukrainian restaurant with all the classics (kholodnik, pelmeni, varenyki, chicken Kiev, Medovik for dessert) where everything is made by the very friendly owner. Vegetarian options are available. Ideally, many more people should discover this restaurant so it stays open as long as possible; it's a great option between Rue St Jean and La Prairie and a welcome change from the same old mediocre burgers served in the soulless brasseries of downtown Caen. Plus, the street is quiet, making it a good place to take the family for a warm, delicious, and unpretentious lunch or dinner.

I highly recommend this restaurant! Everything is homemade and served in generous portions. Irina is remarkably welcoming and friendly! Perfect for discovering Slavic cuisine.
