An address that is worth a detour if you come to Besançon. The traditional dishes (gratins and other comforting dishes) are generous and really very good! I have been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Today's restaurant in a cellar at the bottom of a court, I advise you to like cheese otherwise it will be complicated
Prices are reasonable apart from drinks (€4.00 for soft drinks)
But the dishes are very good and plentiful

I'm going back as soon as possible!
Excellent restaurant, located in a unique and charming setting. From the entrance, the originality of the place captivates us: after discovering a superb wooden staircase with an open cage, worthy of the Besançon heritage, we followed the delicious scent of hot cheese to the official entrance door. A great way to whet your appetite before even sitting down to eat!
The welcome is warm, with attentive staff. We were installed in a magnificent vaulted cellar, an exceptional setting. As good Pontissaliens, we started with a local aperitif, the “Pontarlier Anis”. Then, a forest crust as a starter and, for my part, a beef fillet with morels as a main course. And there, what a surprise! Unlike many other places, where the morel sauce is often sparingly garnished, here, it was a real carpet of morels on my sirloin steak, a pure marvel!
To accompany this feast, a Burgundy wine “Mercurey”, perfectly in harmony with the flavors. For dessert, a light and tasty lemon tart concluded this meal in style. Everything was impeccable, from start to finish, with fast and very professional service. Special mention to the young and dynamic team who do remarkable work.
Only small suggestion: why not offer it as an aperitif
“Emeraude” (fir syrup with Pontarlier Without Sugar)? Rather than Sapon.
Thank you for this delicious Sunday lunch, an experience that I will not fail to share with my friends in Haut-Doubs. Well done to the whole team, and see you soon!

While passing through the region last October, we visited this restaurant.
Nothing to complain about, it’s a real local restaurant with regional products! That’s all you ask for when visiting a region, to taste real local specialties! 🙂
