A wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time at a Michelin-starred restaurant celebrating my wife's birthday. The menu was bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The staff was incredibly attentive, all within a very pleasant and intimate atmosphere. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you to the entire team!

For a Michelin-starred restaurant, I was quite disappointed. The chef certainly takes risks, and his cuisine is rather creative, but unfortunately, I found his starter too acidic, with a strong presence of vinegar. The main course was excellent, and I think there were far too many desserts. As for the staff, unfortunately for a Michelin-starred restaurant, I don't think they have the necessary training to work in this type of establishment. There is often a lack of communication between the kitchen and the staff, as well as among the staff members themselves. If a member of the Michelin Guide had been there yesterday, I'm sure he would have lost his star.

21/12/2025: A delicious dinner featuring local French dishes. Excellent service and quality. Very pleasant atmosphere with Alsatian decor. Highly recommended for enjoying traditional dishes in a very peaceful and welcoming setting.
04/12/2025: For almost 30 years, we've been going to Bords du Rhin regularly. Mainly for the fantastic pike-perch, which is simply something special at this restaurant. The Berna family has been serving guests for six generations, and it's a sight to behold as Monsieur Berna fillets the pike-perch. Among the appetizers, the duck liver, fish soup, and—if you'll excuse the pun—the frog legs are highly recommended. The wine list also offers very good, predominantly Alsatian wines at very reasonable prices. In general, the food is very affordable, which is why the restaurant is fully booked for both lunch and dinner. Therefore, a reservation is absolutely essential. If you've had a lovely evening here, and like us, had a rather long journey, an overnight stay at the hotel is advisable. By German standards, a rather simple French breakfast is offered the following day. But that shouldn't detract from the experience; after all, you're in France and eating there. You also meet many Germans here, because the hotel restaurant is located right next to the Kappel ferry. We will gladly visit Bords du Rhin again, also because of the lovely and warm hospitality of the Berna family and their team.
