We dropped in unexpectedly despite the packed restaurant and were able to enjoy our meal. The dining room was a hive of activity, with laughter, loud conversation, and general merriment, a bit like being in a mountain refuge after a long day's hike. Behind it all was a team training for a triathlon, followed by the UTMB, to keep their customers happy and energized! Thank you for your warm welcome, your delicious food, and your incredible energy! Long live the old guide!

We dined at Le Vieux Guide, recommended by "Le Routard" guidebook; reservations are highly recommended. The meal was excellent, but there was a significant wait for dessert (almost an hour after the main course). If possible, opt for an inside table if the weather is overcast, as it can get chilly on the terrace in the evening when the wind picks up. A shame, but understandable. Prices are relatively high; the traditional dinner menu offers the best value.

A restaurant in a unique setting, tastefully decorated and immersing you in a mountain atmosphere.
Perfect set menus... we enjoyed the tartiflette with its charcuterie and salad... a generous and beautifully presented dish... top-notch service, smiling and friendly staff... I highly recommend it.
It's best to book in advance given the restaurant's popularity.
Special mention to the chef for his creamy lemon-basil dessert... I loved it! 👌
