The rating is for the restaurant, not the hotel. The service is impeccable and the food is good. However, the set menu price is still excessive considering the quality and presentation of the dishes. At this price, cloth napkins would be appreciated instead of paper ones, as would un-chipped tableware.

Comfortable room, nice bathroom, inexpensive breakfast for what was offered, decent restaurant, but the dining room lacked heating for February.

Excellent value for money. Superb pool with a magnificent view. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area. A complete change of scenery. Friendly staff. The only downside: the food isn't top-notch, although the wines are very good.

19/02/2026: I recommend this brasserie where the service is impeccable and the food is homemade and plentiful.
15/02/2026: A great little place for the town of Château-Chinon. We had the Plat du jour, which was simple but quite tasty, especially for the price. The furniture needs replacing, though—damaged chairs, etc. But otherwise, it's fine!
