Au Vieux Strasbourg sur Forbach

We gave it 5 stars because we couldn't give 6! Everything was truly excellent! The sauerkraut tarte flambée was an incredible discovery! The dishes were very flavorful, generous, and bursting with amazing taste!! We happily returned the next day! The staff were very pleasant and smiling! Furthermore, the restaurant's decor completely immerses you in the old town of Strasbourg! I recommend it 100%! A huge thank you to the team!

I ordered the "starter + main course" set menu, wondering if I'd also like dessert… the waiter kindly offered to let me choose later if I was unsure (implying it would be included in the price). When it came time to pay, I didn't check, but the dessert I ordered was charged separately (and therefore much more expensive). I checked and paid, then when I realized my mistake, I was told it was too late and they couldn't give me a refund… (I have my doubts). Obviously, the waiter didn't do it on purpose, and he was otherwise very good throughout the meal. What a shame.

Typical Alsace. It's great that there's a restaurant like this near Petite-Rosselle. Unfortunately, it was a school holiday this week.

The service is beyond perfect. The restaurant staff is always friendly and welcoming. And I was looking for a well-cooked and well-executed sauerkraut, and I came to the right place. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for traditional, authentic cuisine and welcoming staff.

Highly recommended; you feel like you're in Alsace, and the food was just as it was. The owner, Dominik, is fantastic and caters to her guests' wishes. Traditionally decorated dining room! Friendly, welcoming service. Homemade cuisine. Really reasonable prices. You can find dishes you can't find everywhere anymore, such as veal head, or beef tongue, but also sauerkraut and bouwespazle. In short, a lovely blend of Lorraine and Alsatian cuisine.

A wonderful welcome, the setting is magnificent and the food is great. We highly recommend this place.

Very good meal but disappointed at the end in the cafe when we realized that the biscuit had been out of date for 15 days. Hoping that it's not the same in the kitchen

Traditional restaurant well located in Forbach. The plates are generous and delicious. As for the setting and the service, there is nothing to complain about. The owner is adorable and takes the time to chat with her customers. There were 7 of us last Saturday. Thank you 👍
