Auberge Baechel-Brunn sur Merkwiller-Pechelbronn

The New Year's Day brunch at the Auberge du Baechel Brunn was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. A magnificent buffet offered guests a wide variety of choices, including shellfish, fish, terrines, foie gras, charcuterie, and more, along with the different sauces prepared by the chef and his team—an explosion of flavors. I mustn't forget to mention the chef's visit to the kitchen for the hot dish, a choice between poultry and fish, which was greatly appreciated by our group. Bravo to Thomas and Esther's entire team, as well as to former staff members Simone and Jean-Paul.

An exceptional restaurant that I highly recommend! The cuisine is sophisticated, modern, and exquisitely refined, while also playfully reinventing traditions with great skill. I was blown away by the deconstructed tarte flambée, a bold and highly successful interpretation of this iconic Alsatian dish. As for dessert, the reimagined Snickers was an absolute delight that instantly transported us back to childhood. A truly memorable culinary experience, from appetizer to dessert. Thank you for this wonderful moment!

A wonderful experience. Excellent dishes with a modern touch. Unique feature: you have physical access to the wine cellar where you can personally choose the bottle you wish to taste. A big shout-out to the reception and service team. We will be back (and this time we won't have a time constraint).

The restaurant is definitely a recommendation. I recently participated in a themed menu with a table reservation. It was superbly organized and executed. The quality is consistently impressive. The ambiance is very nice. The tables aren't too close together. The wine is unique: you can choose your own wine from the wine cellar. However, I find the prices per bottle a bit excessive.
