We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. The staff were excellent and offered great advice. The dishes were beautifully presented, showcasing the quality of the ingredients in delicious combinations. The "café gourmand" (gourmet coffee) included a mirabelle plum tart with verbena whipped cream—a true delight—a fruit salad, crème brûlée, and a scoop of ice cream. Honestly, I highly recommend this excellent restaurant. I will definitely return to this inn.

I've been a regular at this inn for several years, and until now, everything has always been outstanding. The place is warm and inviting in every season, with a superb view of the Puy de Dôme, a lovely fireplace in winter, well-chosen background music, and live music that adds to the charm of the place. The open-air café concept is excellent. The restaurant manager is a charming, smiling, and welcoming woman. The staff is attentive, available, and truly goes the extra mile. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is excellent, and the entire team deserves praise for the quality of their work. Unfortunately, my last visit was marred by a particularly unpleasant incident. Having arrived on my motorcycle, my lock jammed. A member of staff very kindly agreed to lend me an angle grinder so I could remove it. The owner then intervened, thinking I was trying to steal the motorcycle. I immediately showed him the keys, then turned on the ignition to prove it was indeed my vehicle. I also explained that the equipment had been loaned to me by a member of staff. From that point on, any doubt should have been dispelled. Yet, I felt my explanations weren't truly being heard and that the intervention dragged on unnecessarily in an accusatory and moralizing tone. In hindsight, I can understand that the scene might have been surprising and that my annoyance was misinterpreted. My intention was neither to be unpleasant nor disrespectful to anyone. I was simply frustrated at having to continue justifying myself when the facts were perfectly verifiable. I also felt compelled to play the role of the righteous knight in front of those present, as if this stance had to be maintained despite the evidence presented. This attitude struck me as unnecessarily theatrical and inappropriate. With a "never come back to my establishment" I completely understand that a manager might have questions when they see someone using an angle grinder on a motorcycle. However, once the explanations were given and ownership of the vehicle was proven, there was no justification for continuing in that tone or implicitly treating a loyal customer like a thief. It's truly a shame, because the manager, the staff, the food, and the setting are excellent. An establishment of this quality deserves an attitude that matches the remarkable welcome provided daily by its team.

A charming restaurant nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views of the Puy de Dôme. The family who runs this restaurant are incredibly kind. The food is prepared with local ingredients and is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend stopping by during your trip. A major plus is the newly opened outdoor café; the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with live music to liven up your evenings or simply to enjoy drinks with friends.

I was very disappointed by this experience, especially since I've been a customer for a long time. From the moment we arrived, our reservation didn't seem to have been registered. The waiter was completely lost, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Then there was a mistake when we ordered. We had ordered the set menu of starter, main course, and dessert for €29, including frog legs, but in the end, we only received the main course, which was charged at €25 and wasn't even listed on the menu. We also asked for a carafe of water. After waiting for more than 20 minutes, we had to ask again because it had simply been forgotten, which was particularly unfortunate in the middle of a heatwave. Finally, another mistake occurred when the bill arrived: we were charged for a full bottle of wine when we had only ordered a half-bottle. Far too many mistakes for a single meal. It's a shame, because this series of problems completely ruined our outing.
