Auberge de la Roussille sur Niort

Visiting the area and recommended by a friend from Niort, we discovered this restaurant, which we certainly would never have found otherwise. It must be said that this place is particularly secluded, and all the better for it, because it's so peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The inn is very well laid out and decorated, blending rustic and modern styles. The terrace by the water is lovely in good weather, under the plane trees. The staff was incredibly attentive from beginning to end, responsive, helpful, and offered excellent advice. Every dish we tasted was simply fantastic, with a multitude of flavors, textures, and colors. The little touches at the beginning and end of the meal were much appreciated (amuse-bouches and petit fours). And what a cheese platter! I loved it. We had a wonderful time at the table. A wonderful experience on a weeknight. A warm, pleasant, and well-maintained place, a competent team, and absolutely delicious food, all at a great price. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Incredible! A true haven of peace. We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved it. The service is superb, the staff is professional, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. And the food? Simply exquisite, with seasonal ingredients. We even received a little heart on our dessert as a nod to our wedding. An experience that will be hard to forget. If I could have given six stars everywhere, I would have.

A very pleasant evening, in a magnificent setting, with refined and flavorful cuisine and attentive staff.

We came to the Auberge de la Roussille with 16 people for a wedding reception. We had reserved the small private room and finalized the menus in advance with Mégane, who had already given us a very warm welcome! On the day itself, everything was PERFECT: the food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the waiters were very professional; in short, not a single flaw! Thank you again to the entire team for their work, which made our day truly memorable!!!

Excellent lunch menu at 53 euros, it's a shame the prices for wine and aperitifs are so exorbitant.
