A single set menu is mandatory for the entire table. Depending on the price, the number of courses ranges from three to five.
This is a constraint confidently embraced by the chef, who cannot tolerate customers not ordering the same menu, such as a main course and dessert.
Once this initial inconvenience is overcome, one discovers a refined, flavorful, and exquisitely delicate cuisine.
The service was laborious that day, with a head waiter unable to communicate the restaurant's philosophy. The kitchen assistant serving the dishes was more at ease and approachable. Four courses and coffee took over two and a half hours, even though the service only accommodated seven guests.
This is not really ideal.
The restaurant's overall positioning remains to be determined. The cuisine is undeniably of a superior gastronomic standard. The decor and tableware are well thought out, but the service and communication remain poor (the website doesn't do everything, you have to be able to verbalize your positioning in a way that isn't brutal) for, for example, a Michelin star.

We had the chance to dine at the Auberge de la Vieille Église. We chose the Lilwenn menu, and each dish was a small work of art, full of flavor and beautifully presented.
What particularly touched me was the attention paid to my sister, who follows a gluten- and lactose-free diet. The team was incredibly kind: she was able to enjoy several dishes, revisited especially for her, with care and creativity. She never felt left out, and that made our meal even more precious.
The service was impeccable, warm, and professional. And congratulations to the apprentice who presented us with dessert with great courage and clarity.
A huge thank you to the entire team for this delicious, human, and refined experience. I recommend this place without hesitation.

10 out of 10. Approaching Michelin level. Very gourmet and unique dishes with unexpected flavor combinations. Truly worthy of Michelin! The dessert made with local buckwheat, cider, and chocolate was wonderful!
