A perfect sweet treat after a hike! 🍰☕ After visiting the magnificent Lastours castles, we stopped at the Auberge de l'Orbiel for a sweet break, and it was pure bliss. The welcome was incredibly warm, the place is peaceful and ideally located for relaxation. The sweet treats were delicious, perfect for recharging our batteries in a delightful setting by the water. A truly wonderful place where you feel at ease and where the meaning of hospitality truly shines. I highly recommend this place for a restorative and charming break! A small café-restaurant just steps from the Lastours castles, a must-stop on your next visit. Cassoulet, salads, desserts... Everything is excellent! The best cassoulet in the region (yes, even Carcassonne!), we came all the way from Sète just for this one! A huge thank you to Christine and Jean-Louis for the very warm welcome and impeccable service. (P.S. There must be several reviews written tonight; there were 14 of us happy customers 😁)

We stopped by chance for a coffee, and then, seeing the rave reviews about Christine's cassoulet, we returned the next evening at 2 pm to enjoy it! How can I put it? Simply the best cassoulet we've ever had! Christine confits the duck legs herself, and preparing this dish takes her 10 hours! And it's made with real IGP Castelnaudary beans (see photo). What's more, the price is more than reasonable: €27.90 for the cassoulet plus a salad and an assortment of petits fours! A truly excellent place, highly recommended if you're ever in Lastours!!! This restaurant turned out to be a wonderful find for us! My boyfriend ordered the Cassoulet and I ordered the Salade with Chorizo ​​for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised: the sauce, spices, and freshness of the ingredients made these dishes the best we had while in the region. And of course, the hosts, with their cheerful attitude, made the lunch truly unforgettable. So I highly recommend it to anyone passing through—you won't regret it!

We stumbled upon this inn and the food is absolutely perfect. The service is excellent. The cassoulet is divine, hearty, homemade with top-quality ingredients. Go without hesitation. The best cassoulet in the region is well deserved.
