While passing through the area, we made a fantastic discovery at this restaurant. I recommend making a reservation. We tried their truffade, a potato and cheese gratin that's an absolute must-try. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent and the portion is more than generous! However, be prepared to wait because the service is slow… Also, it's the first time I've seen an extra charge of €5 for a doggy bag!

Excellent restaurant, specializing in local cuisine like truffade and stuffed cabbage. The truffade is absolutely divine! The takeout service is incredibly convenient, and the owner is very friendly and accommodating! A truly great experience! Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic meal this summer at the Auberge de Moneaux. The welcome was very warm and the meat was excellent, beautiful cuts! I highly recommend it if you're passing through Mont-Dore.

The food was very good and the service was friendly. However, there was a long wait for the starters, a €5 charge for a doggy bag, and some awkwardness when we asked to split the bill. What's the point of having generous portions if you have to pay extra when you can't finish them? I've never seen anything like it. The service was slow on this public holiday, which is understandable, but we won't be back.
