A wonderful gastronomic interlude at the foot of the Sancy massif and the Col Saint Robert. We were lucky enough to be able to reserve one of the chef's specialties when we made our phone reservation: stuffed cabbage. Wow! What a treat! In addition to the deliciousness of the dish, we were served with generous portions. Everything was perfect for a wonderful time on the terrace overlooking the meadows and mountains. I also recommend the puff pastry with pig's trotters and the Corent des Chemins de l'Arkose (rosé wine). A magnificent place: thank you to the Chef and our waitress.

The set menu offered good value for money. It's a shame that it was spoiled by the (very) slow service, surely due to understaffing.

While passing through the area, we made a fantastic discovery at this restaurant. I recommend making a reservation. We tried their truffade, a potato and cheese gratin that's an absolute must-try. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent and the portion is more than generous! However, be prepared to wait because the service is slow… Also, it's the first time I've seen an extra charge of €5 for a doggy bag!

Excellent restaurant, specializing in local cuisine like truffade and stuffed cabbage. The truffade is absolutely divine! The takeout service is incredibly convenient, and the owner is very friendly and accommodating! A truly great experience! Highly recommended!

Aux 500 Diables Auberge de montagne

25/03/2026: A very good culinary experience, especially for Auvergne specialties like truffade and aligot. The decor is lovely, in the style of an old ski resort, and the restaurant is really very large, so perfect for a group!
08/03/2026: We stayed for a weekend and dined at Les 500 Diables. A pleasant break in a relaxing setting. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. I recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

19/04/2026: Lovely hotel, very welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, well-decorated with good bedding and a pleasant bathroom. We received a very warm welcome.
15/04/2026: What did we love about our stay? Everything. From the welcome to the setting, being able to park the motorcycle without any problems, not to mention the restaurant which delighted our taste buds 🤗😍😋
