What a great find! Passing through at the end of my motorcycle road trip, I truly enjoyed everything here. The location, quite secluded in Bois Barbu, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. I love the layout of both the grounds and the inn itself. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The comfort is definitely appreciated. The half-board meals are home-cooked, prepared with quality ingredients. The dishes are appetizing and delicious. A garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, which is a nice touch. A place to definitely remember in the area!

What a pleasure it was to stay at the Auberge des Montauds! We received a warm, welcoming, and friendly reception that immediately made us feel at home. Located above Villard-de-Lans, the inn offers a peaceful setting in the heart of nature. If you're looking for tranquility, greenery, and a real breath of fresh air, you'll be delighted. It's also a little paradise for motorcyclists. Our room, while modest in size, was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our stay. We also greatly appreciated the shaded terrace, ideal for enjoying the excellent half-board meals, which were generous and carefully prepared. Breakfast was equally delicious, varied, and plentiful—the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. A truly beautiful place, geographically ideal and yet secluded enough to offer great peace and quiet and a magnificent view. We stayed two nights on a half-board basis, and the cuisine was truly excellent and original. We were very pleasantly surprised by the menus and the care taken in their preparation. The wine list was very well-stocked and carefully curated. In short, we had two very enjoyable nights and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to your team for your warm welcome and kindness, and we hope to see you again soon.

A superb inn where we received a very warm welcome. The owners truly have a knack for service and did everything to make our stay easy (breakfast was prepared the night before so we could leave very early for a cycling race!). A beautiful, peaceful place nestled in lush greenery!

A beautiful establishment, nestled in the mountains surrounded by greenery. The welcome, the cleanliness, the smiles, the atmosphere—everything is perfect. The chef is worthy of a Michelin star... The quality of the meals is exceptional. The service by the mother and daughter is extraordinary. We will return as soon as possible.

A beautiful place, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it was cool outside, so the welcome, along with the magnificent fireplace, really warmed us up after a hike. Excellent stay. We received a very warm welcome and were given a large, comfortable, and very quiet room. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. A highly recommended place to stay.

Charming inn close to hiking trails. Tastefully decorated, the open fireplace in the restaurant adds character to the room. The half-board meals are refined and very good. Breakfasts are good (excellent homemade jam, a homemade cake every morning, and the option to squeeze your own juice), but we would have preferred more choice, especially in the savory options (only ham and Emmental cheese were offered). A minor drawback regarding the room: the room's trash hadn't been emptied (it contained medication packaging), and the bathroom ventilation system was very dusty. A shame, but we had a very pleasant stay!

Very friendly managers, great service! We opted for half-board because we were traveling by motorcycle: very convenient and delicious! The meals were very good and the breakfast excellent with a wide selection and everything homemade! The rooms had very comfortable beds and brand new bathrooms! Plus, the motorcycles slept nice and warm in the garage! Fantastic! I highly recommend it!

We are two couples of motorcyclists, passing through for one night. We received a very warm welcome, our motorcycles were parked in the garage, we enjoyed an excellent and pleasantly served dinner, a good night's sleep in a quiet place, and a perfect breakfast before our departure.
