I like the decor, but the downside is that it's expensive to do just once for one occasion.

Hello, when you travel 90 km round trip to come to the Auberge des Ruines, it's because you know the quality of the food and you go there without hesitation... today was actually our fourth visit. The welcome and setting are always pleasant, the presentation of the dishes superb, however, several things disappointed us: Having booked for 12:30 pm, the sea bass, which was on the menu, was already sold out, and it was only 12:30 pm, while the number of diners already there was quite reasonable... too bad, we had to settle for... cod at the same price on the menu... When asked if we had any allergies, we mentioned that my wife, due to a medical condition, cannot tolerate any seeds (diverticulitis problem...). The result was a bread basket with seeds and, more importantly, the cod, beautifully presented but with seeds... it was changed without any problem, but still. Finally, the dessert: strawberries with ice cream. The ice cream was soggy and melting, and the cooked strawberries were also soggy... the whole thing tasted like it had been taken straight from the freezer... which I refuse to believe. What a shame! I could have said all this to the manager if he had come to see how our meal was, or simply to the young woman who took the bill if she had asked. But no one asked, so I'm putting my comments in writing. With regret.

The dishes are prepared with regional, seasonal products and seasoned with unusual (wild) herbs. The menus offer excellent value for money, the dishes are delicious, and the presentation is appealing. Those who prefer not to drink alcohol will find an interesting selection of fruit-based, less sweet beverages. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

Chef Mauduit will introduce you to unexpected flavors, followed in the afternoon by a visit to the abbey grounds and a lesson on edible plants and flowers of our region. Not to mention the guided tour of the abbey led by a very friendly and passionate guide. An experience not to be missed.

The service was very pleasant, a young, smiling, and friendly woman. However, the restaurant itself did not live up to our expectations. The dishes were very simple, the meat was overcooked even though we had asked for it rare. The strawberry dessert was bland and uninspired. All three of us were disappointed.

What a wonderful experience! Excellent from start to finish, with the amuse-bouches and the petit fours that perfectly complemented the coffee! Every dish had unique flavors and was absolutely delicious! Bravo to the Chef and his team! 👏 Kudos also to our waitress who was perfect (pleasant, efficient, and smiling)! 👏 We came thanks to the Gourmet Passport and can't wait to come back!

A lovely family meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Refined cuisine, impeccable service, a beautifully set table, and a very attentive waiter. I highly recommend this establishment.
