Great restaurant with good food, excellent tomato tart, €18, perfect!

A great place, well located almost opposite the abbey but set back from the road. The terrace is therefore very quiet, pleasant, and sunny if you're lucky enough to have a nice day. The service is attentive. The food is homemade and delicious. Excellent value for money for a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert at €20.

Very kind and helpful despite the hour. We sat outside to eat and enjoyed the Normandy weather... even experiencing some rain. They even made it easy to arrange a vegetarian dish (cheese and chips). It wasn't ideal, but we really appreciated their willingness. The lady who served us was very kind and smiling.

Facing the majestic Jumièges Abbey, L’Heure de Thés was the perfect break on a very… Norman-like day. 😂 That classic, undecided weather, with sun, clouds, and rain alternating without asking permission, made lunch almost an integral part of the experience. The waitress was truly friendly and approachable: she even offered to seat us outside, but warned us frankly that, in case of rain, we would have to stay there without being able to move inside. And indeed, a few drops did come… but in the end, it added even more atmosphere to the lunch. The restaurant has a short but well-thought-out menu, which I personally often consider a good sign: few dishes, but well-made. We had a simple but very pleasant potato and anchovy salad, a dish of andouille with a strong and typically Norman flavor, prosciutto crudo, an excellent cheese platter, and even some very good roast ham. To finish, a pain perdu (a dish of fried bread) was a definite hit, accompanied by a coffee served with a delicious butter biscuit. It's not the place to expect elaborate or sophisticated cuisine, but it's exactly the kind of place that works great when traveling: welcoming, authentic, with good food, friendly service, and that relaxed feeling that makes you slow down for a moment. Five stars deserved for the atmosphere, the friendliness, and a simple yet successful lunch break.
