If you're looking for delicious meat, look no further, this is the place. Special mention goes to the veal chop, which was absolutely amazing, and the homemade profiteroles (though without ice cream, a real treat). This rustic inn is run by a lovely family; I highly recommend it.

A truly beautiful place. We were a party of eight celebrating a birthday. The welcome was very warm. The cuisine was refined and generous, the staff efficient yet with a great sense of humor... And finally, excellent value for money.
We all recommend it without reservation.

Of course, we ate very well, as usual. The welcome is always top-notch, warm and friendly. The meat cooked over an open fire was excellent. I would, however, have one major complaint about the portion sizes. The portions were much more generous a few years ago. What a shame.

We ate at the Auberge des Seigneurs et du Lion d'Or restaurant, located on Place du Frêne, at the entrance to Vence's historic center. The establishment is easily recognizable thanks to its stone facade, as it's housed in a former historic building. Inside, the dining room retains a traditional layout with a very large fireplace and a few historical details, such as a portrait of Marc Chagall hanging on the wall.
The restaurant's unique feature is precisely this fireplace, where meats are roasted over a wood fire right before the diners' eyes. The menu offers cuisine focused on homemade dishes. We saw appetizers like foie gras and salmon gravlax, but the specialty is definitely the spit-roasted meat dishes: saddle of lamb, veal, or chicken. We chose the veal entrecôte, served with seasonal accompaniments—an original dish and truly succulent meat! The presentation was elegant, the portions generous, and the charcoal grilling added a real touch of class. The welcome is warm and the staff are professional.
It's an excellent place for an authentic meal, in an atmosphere very different from other establishments in old Vence.
