If you're looking for delicious meat, look no further, this is the place. Special mention goes to the veal chop, which was absolutely amazing, and the homemade profiteroles (though without ice cream, a real treat). This rustic inn is run by a lovely family; I highly recommend it.

We had an excellent meal. The owners are very welcoming and attentive. The rustic setting is very charming. It's a great place to celebrate a birthday.

A truly beautiful place. We were a party of eight celebrating a birthday. The welcome was very warm. The cuisine was refined and generous, the staff efficient yet with a great sense of humor... And finally, excellent value for money. We all recommend it without reservation. We will be back soon. Thank you.

Of course, we ate very well, as usual. The welcome is always top-notch, warm and friendly. The meat cooked over an open fire was excellent. I would, however, have one major complaint about the portion sizes. The portions were much more generous a few years ago. What a shame.

We ate at the Auberge des Seigneurs et du Lion d'Or restaurant, located on Place du Frêne, at the entrance to Vence's historic center. The establishment is easily recognizable thanks to its stone facade, as it's housed in a former historic building. Inside, the dining room retains a traditional layout with a very large fireplace and a few historical details, such as a portrait of Marc Chagall hanging on the wall. The restaurant's unique feature is precisely this fireplace, where meats are roasted over a wood fire right before the diners' eyes. The menu offers cuisine focused on homemade dishes. We saw appetizers like foie gras and salmon gravlax, but the specialty is definitely the spit-roasted meat dishes: saddle of lamb, veal, or chicken. We chose the veal entrecôte, served with seasonal accompaniments—an original dish and truly succulent meat! The presentation was elegant, the portions generous, and the charcoal grilling added a real touch of class. The welcome is warm and the staff are professional. It's an excellent place for an authentic meal, in an atmosphere very different from other establishments in old Vence.

It was a real pleasure to dine at this lovely restaurant once again . We have been here many times over the years and have always been delighted with the whole experience. We look forward to returning before too long . Thank you Sandrine and family.

08/04/2026: really delicious and cozy place. The food is top class. The service is good, friendly and accommodating. The decor is super nice and elegant. There is outdoor dining in a cozy courtyard, which must be really nice to sit in when the weather permits. We were there on a cloudy day at Easter when it was drizzling, so we sat inside. For starters I had risotto with scallops, and for main course gambas with rice and some delicious salad. For dessert I was full and settled for sharing a cheese plate. So the image of the cheese must be multiplied by 2. The cheeses were delicious and piquant in taste. Don't know their names. Atmospheric place. 02/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Farigoule. Everything is done with care: the interior decor, the presentation of the excellent dishes, and the warm welcome and kindness of the owner. We'll be back at the beginning of summer to enjoy the lovely terrace. It's a place to remember, I highly recommend it!

26/04/2026: We came to celebrate our first anniversary and enjoyed the Sunday brunch. A lovely welcome, full of humor and joy. A very high-quality buffet with a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. (The only slight drawback... the pancakes, but that's really nitpicking because compared to the gravlax salmon, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, and everything else!!!) In short, an excellent time. Thank you for everything.
