Great meal with friends, meat cooked over the fireplace, dishes served on torpedo-shaped platters, no fuss, just a relaxed, homey atmosphere. The food was delicious and the place felt great. Special mention for the croustades – they were simply incredible! A great place to remember.

The inn, better known as Chez Germaine, is a typical restaurant and inn of the Hautes-Pyrénées region. Located opposite the entrance to Lake Payolle, it doesn't take reservations; you simply wait your turn in the lovely courtyard. A warm and welcoming atmosphere awaits you. The tables are rustic yet comfortable. The gourmet menu is delicious and generous. Don't miss the charcuterie buffet, the appetizers, and the grilled Pyrenees trout... among other starters. A must-try at least once in your life.

A nice inn that was recommended to us. We arrived a little before noon and there was already a queue outside the restaurant. The food is local and delicious; the garbure (cabbage and bean soup) was good, and the trout with parsley sauce and the coustous (stuffed ham) were tasty. The potatoes served alongside were quite simple. The blueberry tart was a delight. The place is rather noisy, and there are some drafts, especially if you're not near the fireplace.
