25/05/2026: Please note, reservations are not possible except for groups, and even then it's not guaranteed. If you want to eat there, you must arrive before noon or from 1:30 pm onwards for the second seating.
The dishes are very well presented. The meat is cooked exactly as requested, and in a generous quantity and of high quality. The Bigorre pork ribs are absolutely delicious, and the side dishes are excellent (fries, potatoes with ventrèche and melted cheese on top, although the mestruet was a bit disappointing).
The desserts are very well presented. Special mention goes to the blueberry tart.
The service was a little slow, but we didn't notice the time passing. It's the beginning of the season, so they need to find their rhythm.

You can go there without hesitation.

05/05/2026: A well-located hotel for a stopover or short stay in the Pyrenees. Simple rooms but comfortable beds. Generous, home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Very warm welcome; a place we recommend.
14/04/2026: Dinner and breakfast were great. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but there was no handrail. The second bed was very cramped.

26/04/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the inn. The welcome was friendly and warm. The meals were excellent, made with fresh, local, and homemade ingredients. And all at a reasonable price.
I thank the manager for her hospitality and kindness.
I highly recommend it.
24/04/2026: Really nice and cosy hotel, the rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean. The restaurant is good and food tasty with good price. We travel with kids and the staff was really friendly and prepare the babycot and several accesorios like changing mat or bottle warmer to make our stay easier. Location

Where are the previous owners?
06/04/2026: I am stunned to see an establishment, at a time when everyone has time to spare, refusing customers (2 people) at 12:50 pm on Easter Monday under the pretext of not having a reservation, when we were just passing through and the terrace was far from full.

12/06/2026: I ordered a hamburger and fries with an extra hamburger, making sure to ask the waiter if it was real meat. "That's a stupid question," he said, "only our fries are frozen."
I've never eaten such a disgusting steak. Tasteless, full of water and grease. And don't even try to tell me your awful steaks come from the butcher... it's impossible, they didn't even have the color of meat.
They charged me €8.50 for this extra "kids' menu" 😂😂
In short, a good tourist trap, just the way we like them. It's always a pleasure to get ripped off during a road trip. "Bye," then...
30/05/2026: A cheese platter consisting of six pieces of cheese and where the bread is hard shouldn't be called a cheese platter, but the beer was okay.

La Maison d'Hoursentut

13/07/2026: In my opinion, La Maison D'Hoursetut took advantage of the fact it was our first time to come for the Tour de France stage on the iconic Col du Tourmalet.
Short version: They advised us of the wrong time to arrive by car before the road closures, so we couldn't go up the mountain to see the stage there and they wouldn't give us a refund (no cancellations policy).
Long version: Months in advance, we confirmed a few times with the hotel via email that our arrival time would be noon (specifically based on their advice), however, the very first police officer we drove up to said the road is closed. This is at 11:30. When I contacted the hotel they said they gave us the info they had at the time and that the gendarmerie moved up the time last minute. I've watched the Tour on TV go thru this route several times over the years and all of it is planned months in advance, so I didn't believe him and my instinct was confirmed the next day when I found an official printed flier from the stage that said the roads close at 10 for the Caravan. Each stage location has its own website with road closure info and for the life of me I couldn't find one for this stage from San Francisco, which is why I asked the hotel - because they should be experts on guests arriving for the Tour.
I'm not going to make you re-live the long exchange of emails back and forth between me and the hotel, but I hope anyone who is considering them for the Tour either STAYS AWAY, or else does not count on them for anything. I believe they knew what they were doing with my reservation misdirection and I absolutely believe they kept our money and then sold our room again to one of the thousands of people on the mountain. Unethical.

14/08/2024: Proche du pic du midi et au départ du Tourmalet l endroit est idéal merci a Laeticia pour ces conseils pour découvrir le pic du midi ,nous étions près des étoiles et nous avons pu en envoyer quelques unes bien mérité pour cette auberge,merci encore a toute la famille.
11/06/2024: C’est auberge est familiale avec des repas faits maison . Tout y est très bon. Les patrons et leur grande fille sont d’une gentillesse rare . Nous nous sentons très bien dès l’entrée dans le jardin qui regorge de belles fleurs . Cette charmante auberge est restée sous son charme naturel. C’est très agréable ,propre et chaleureux . Notre chambre a été parfaite et reposante.
