We've been going to this good restaurant for years, but this time the wait was far too long. We arrived at noon and left at 2:30 pm. The same thing happened to two tables behind us. Our main course arrived late due to a technical issue, as explained by the waiter. Consequently, the meat was slightly overcooked. Since they don't take reservations, everyone arrives at the same time. It's a shame. Perhaps they should review their organization.

A truly wonderful surprise! We received a warm welcome and the meal was delicious. The carbs were divine, the meat flavorful, and we hope to return before the end of our vacation. I highly recommend it! Thank you for the excellent cuisine and thank you to the very friendly staff! 👍👍👍

We had dinner at the inn for the first time and loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere so much that we booked a second night. The service is friendly and welcoming, just like the food. The dishes are delicious and generous, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The servers are incredibly attentive. Even the children are delighted! As an added bonus, there's a safe and secure play area to keep the children entertained.

Sorry, but this isn't working! Yes, this restaurant has been around for... I think over 55 years... an institution, but those were the days when Germaine was there. Now, the owner is gone, and the restaurant is gone. The service is endless, there's shouting in the kitchen, and they argue without any restraint in front of the customers, and all the while, the customers wait. Now, let's talk about the food... the atmosphere is a bit dated, okay, some might like it... but the food is nothing special. As a result, I've known this restaurant for 40 years, I come here from time to time, and I won't be going back. There are new, smaller restaurants nearby that are much better. It's time for the younger generation.

This is the inn I used to frequent with my parents, back when Germaine was running it, when I was about ten years old.
I've had the opportunity to return to Payolle several times; it's always a must to enjoy the famous garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew), summer or winter!
Over time, Germaine has passed away, but it's still a pleasure to savor her cooking and the flavors.
With time, little has changed; it was already very good and delicious.
The wait time is reasonable, the number of customers is well managed, the service is good, and of course, the dishes, grilled meats, and desserts are still just as delicious.
