I've been coming from Lille 2 or 3 times a year specifically for the generous and delicious food at reasonable prices for over 30 years, and yesterday was a huge disappointment. Where's the menu gone? Where's the choice? Where's the set menu? Just a few choices on a chalkboard and the prices have gone up significantly. A real letdown, it's disappointing. What a shame, it used to be a superb place. 😒

Very pleasantly surprised despite some bad experiences; honestly, the menu was excellent, the wine was delicate and reasonably priced, and the manager was very pleasant.

We had booked for Valentine's Day. We didn't know there was a set menu for that occasion. We came to introduce our loved ones to homemade cassoulet, and the incredibly kind owner graciously agreed to serve us one. I wanted to emphasize his kindness, the quality of the welcome, and his professionalism; indeed, you don't find such hospitality everywhere. The cassoulet... I don't have the words to describe it. A gargantuan portion, among other dishes, is worth discovering. Thank you for this welcome, which is sadly becoming increasingly rare. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Last night, we were a table for two and received a very warm welcome. The food was excellent from start to finish, and we'll definitely be back. The owner was very kind, pleasant, and always smiling.

A lovely, bucolic, and peaceful setting. We had a wonderful and enjoyable Valentine's Day. We were taken care of from the moment we arrived (with reservations). All the staff, as well as the management, were attentive to our needs and respectful of our privacy. The meal lived up to our expectations: generous and exquisitely prepared. (Thank you, Chef!). Impeccable service with great professionalism and attentiveness to their guests. The background music is soft and unobtrusive. A refined and authentic decor. I highly recommend this woodland retreat where the change of scenery is truly rejuvenating. Thank you, owner, and all your colleagues. 😉👌

A beautiful and peaceful forest setting. The table layout allows for good privacy for diners. The staff is professional and attentive, and the wait between courses is reasonable. I wanted to try the famous cassoulet from Le Croisil, and I wasn't disappointed. The beans were cooked to perfection and accompanied by quality meat (the only slight drawback was that it was a little dry due to a lack of sauce, which I mentioned to the waiters). I highly recommend this restaurant.

I reiterate my previous opinion: the reopening of Le Croisil is beneficial for our region. It even represents an improvement in quality thanks to Philippe's experience with L'Alexis in Avesnes. One of the best restaurants in the region, nestled in the heart of the Mormal forest, my bed and breakfast guests whom I refer to this restaurant are never disappointed.
