A country restaurant as we like them. The menu is copious, varied, the service warm, like at home. It's really very nice!

Excellent, it’s flawless. The welcome is warm, the service is great and the dishes are divine. We eat a soup like in the old days followed by a nice starter, the meal is delicious and to finish the house dessert which makes you want to come back, all for only 18 euros. All in a quiet place where life is good. Francis

It's not really possible to judge because the meal was ordered. The place is quite busy. For my part, the meal was very simple in a good atmosphere. Congratulations for the efficient and smiling service 😃.

17/01/2026: We visited Restaurant L'Essentie last night with our good friends and neighbours Francois and Valerie to belatedly celebrate the New Year. At the end of the festive season he might think one celebration too many, but Pauline and her husband who is the chef never disappoint and served up a truly fantastic dinner to start 2026. Salmon en croute with mushrooms and Cavalo Nero cooked with incredible imagination and to finish pears poached in red wine with cream and toasted hazelnuts fantastic. Definitely the best restaurant around, if you’re looking for a quiet intimate place to enjoy master cooking we’re friends and family.
