Discovered this restaurant today. We ate on the terrace in a shaded courtyard. Meals and service were very good. I recommend this establishment, and will return with pleasure.

Passing through Châtenois, first meal in this establishment. Very warm welcome, friendly and smiling team. Fast service despite the crowds, pleasant and shady terrace setting. Very good dish, baeckeoffe for me would have deserved a little more meat for the price but it was very good. To recommend

While passing through the region and for our last day of vacation, we stopped at your establishment for dinner. We were very well received, pleasant staff who knew the products; quality dishes and very well served. We highly recommend this establishment which we will revisit on our next visit with great pleasure!

A very nice stay spent in this hostel (with very friendly staff) well located for visiting the region. Correct breakfast. Very good, very refined evening meal served on a very beautiful shaded terrace. Hello to Pépito 🐈‍⬛ Vincianne and Jean Christophe.

Excellent stay at the inn! We enjoyed very nice rooms (beautiful decor, perfect bedding, spacious bathrooms) We also enjoyed very good meals at the restaurant in the evening: special mentions to the homemade gazpacho and the carpaccio plates! Same for breakfast which was served directly at the table and with very good products! Thank you for your warm welcome !

Toujours très bien manger , mais le menu Fêtes des Mères nous a déçu. Tranche de fois gras qui faisait a peine 5mm d'épaisseur et aucun accompagnement avec la pintade. A part une petite poignée de légumes. Généralement ,c'est toujours servi avec un gratins Dauphinois ou Frites .Le serveur nous a juste ramené un panier de pain en accompagnement .La on a rien compris ,car je le redit auparavant, nous n'avons jamais été déçu.

Pour la troisième fois, nous avons pu apprécier les mets délicats de l'Auberge à l'occasion de la fête Médiévale. Toujours reçus avec de grands sourires, les serveuses et serveurs sont aux petits soins pour les clients. Quand au repas, nous avons dégusté des plats faits maison que nous avons hautement appréciés. Nous avons retrouvé dans chaque plat présenté, les saveurs annoncées !! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et nous vous invitons à découvrir cette superbe adresse : vous ne serez pas déçus !!!! Bravo à toute l'équipe !!!

21/01/2026: A wonderful hotel restaurant in Châtenois with a warm, home‑like atmosphere. The impressive collection of teddy bears 🧸 gives the place a unique and charming character. Very friendly staff and a welcoming hostess - you feel genuinely well taken care of. We started with foie gras and toasted bread, paired with a Porto aperitif over ice - excellent. For the main course, I had Poulet au Riesling with Spätzle, perfectly cooked and flavorful, paired with a lovely Pinot Gris. My companion ordered the escalope de veau, also very good. No place for dessert after all 🫣, but the espresso was outstanding - thick, aromatic, rich. The place gets busy, so reservations are recommended - we were lucky to get a table on Sunday. Cozy, authentic Alsatian cuisine and hospitality. Highly recommended😍

Hotel Dontenville

21/12/2025: Beautiful heritage hotel in a beautiful town. Despite arriving late we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff who made sure we had the best possible experience. We could park our car for free in the car park next to the hotel . The rooms were comfortable and cosy, the staircase is magnificent with lots of delightful historical features. The restaurant on site is very pleasant where we had a very tasty breakfast. It's a great spot for families, our children loved the hotel and we had a unique experience learning about the history and practicing french. The owners gave us a lot of great tips for sightseeing in Alsace and we ended up having a great holiday. Thank you!
12/12/2025: A magical place in this festive Christmas atmosphere. The owner is very friendly, kind, and attentive. Everything is perfect. A building steeped in history. Congratulations.
