The service is superb, always a warm welcome and excellent service. A welcoming restaurant, just the way we like them in Alsace.

29/05/2026: Disappointing!
We had booked for a group because the setting is nice. Upon arrival, we were seated for 40 minutes without being offered an aperitif, despite the sweltering heat. A couple arrived after us, and they were served before us. The two-person staff was clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers. We left. No one came to apologize. Very disappointed. Cold welcome, zero service, zero friendliness... I do not recommend it.

15/09/2026: Good establishment in Châtenois, the pizzas are good and the small terrace is pleasant.
13/09/2026: We found this one purely by chance, and we were pleasantly surprised - excellent food and service, reasonably priced. We'll be back, next time in Keschtaholz.

Hotel Restaurant Beysang

06/06/2026: We spent two nights in this superb, typically Alsatian hotel.
The welcome was exceptional, and the room was perfect for four people (the bathroom was spacious and clean).
On our first evening, we ate at the hotel restaurant; it was delicious, fresh, and the desserts were homemade—what more could you ask for?
The staff and the owner are wonderful; it was a pleasure chatting with her.
We had a lovely time and will gladly return for another stay.
23/04/2026: We had lunch at the restaurant and it was absolutely excellent. Traditional, homemade cuisine – a lovely surprise! ☺️

27/09/2026: Although two tables were available, one inside and one outside, the waitresses refused us, saying they were full. We had just returned from a hike and were thirsty. When I mentioned this, one of them told me that one of us could go to the restroom to refill our water bottles. There were three adults and three children in our party.
I find this simply deplorable. It goes against the spirit of business and shows a complete lack of empathy. We were shocked.

12/04/2026: For my first time, I was a little disappointed with the service. I ordered a burger, and they didn't ask me how I wanted my steak cooked. Unfortunately, it was overcooked; I like it rare. The waitress wasn't very friendly, and she seemed unimpressed.

30/09/2026: Avoid at all costs! It took 45 minutes for our order to arrive, even though there were only two other couples on the terrace. Inside, four people had already finished. We asked if there was a problem, and the owner berated us, even suggesting we go to a fast-food restaurant where it would be faster. She claimed it had only been 20 minutes. Excuse me, madam, the bell next door rang three times every 15 minutes. My order: sea bream fillet with Riesling for €24.50, and what I received was a piece of cod loin swimming in tasteless cream with a boiled potato and a bit of julienned vegetables. Frozen food is better. We had a terrible experience and were treated like idiots. Furthermore, in Alsace, €20 for a 50cl pitcher of Riesling is outrageous.
13/09/2026: Passing through Châtenois, we decided on a whim to stop at this restaurant. Personally, I think the €6.90 bottle of water is a bit steep, and the bagged salad was just okay.
