We came for lunch. We ordered the regional menu at €26: what a difference from the €19 set menu! A little bit of cheese and two slices of ham... The waiter was friendly, but rather pushy; we'd barely sat down before we were being asked to order food and drinks. Yet, there were only four tables for us that lunchtime. Considering the price, I expected a bit more.

We've been to this restaurant 7 or 8 times in recent years. For us, neighbors from the Creuse region, it's the place to be for our weekends in Auvergne. And over the years, we've tried almost every restaurant from La Bourboule to Le Mont-Dore. Never disappointed, always a warm welcome, varied and refined cuisine, quality meats, excellent aligot and truffade, and we're never hungry again. The biggest plus: the service, professional from both the owner and the waiter—"essential," discreet, efficient, and attentive. We dedicate at least one of our 5 stars to them. These people (the waiter, the owner, and the chef, whom we met by chance) are truly a holy trinity in this calm and family-friendly place. This weekend, we went two days in a row. Looking forward to next time! You're doing a great job, keep it up, thank you.
