Auberge Le Pitsounet sur Mont-Dore

We've been to this restaurant 7 or 8 times in recent years. For us, neighbors from the Creuse region, it's the place to be for our weekends in Auvergne. And over the years, we've tried almost every restaurant from La Bourboule to Le Mont-Dore. Never disappointed, always a warm welcome, varied and refined cuisine, quality meats, excellent aligot and truffade, and we're never hungry again. The biggest plus: the service, professional from both the owner and the waiter—"essential," discreet, efficient, and attentive. We dedicate at least one of our 5 stars to them. These people (the waiter, the owner, and the chef, whom we met by chance) are truly a holy trinity in this calm and family-friendly place. This weekend, we went two days in a row. Looking forward to next time! You're doing a great job, keep it up, thank you.

We stumbled upon this little restaurant just outside the center of Mont Dore (a few minutes' drive) and we weren't disappointed! The welcome and the waiter were excellent. The meal was very good and reasonably priced. A nice bonus was the wide selection on the children's menu. We'll definitely be back.

A warm welcome. Local cuisine, but not exclusively; a few Russian dishes are also featured here and there. A real treat and a wonderful discovery.

We received a very warm welcome despite the late hour (1 p.m.), and the waiter was very kind. We had a delicious meal. There are dishes for all prices, tastes, and budgets. The blueberry tart is divine. The only slight drawback is that the decor could use a little updating 😉. The terrace is very pleasant in the summer.
