Auberge Pom'poire sur Azay-Le-Rideau

We had dinner and stayed one night at this establishment and were delighted with our choice. The meal (a seven-course menu for us) was served in a beautiful, contemporary dining room with a view of the surrounding nature. It was flawless, both in terms of the cuisine (refined and inventive) and the service. The only slight criticism was that the portions were a little too generous to truly appreciate the end of the meal and the petit fours offered with coffee. We opted to stay in the cabin-style rooms: an excellent choice! They are very spacious, beautifully decorated, and one of the two had a view of the surrounding nature (unfortunately, the other overlooked the back of the neighbors' house at the end of the garden). The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower. Absolutely fantastic!

We received a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and professional. We discovered a wide variety of flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, and the impeccable quality of our evening meal. The room was very spacious and quiet. The breakfast was very generous. We highly recommend the Auberge Pom Poire.

A perfect May Day lunch from start to finish at Auberge Pom'Poire. We were delighted as always. Exceptional cuisine. Masterful flavors, precise and memorable dishes. The sommelier provided excellent wine pairings. Undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in Indre-et-Loire. Warm atmosphere. Attentive and pleasant service. We had a truly wonderful time.

Restaurant review: Very beautiful venue, very good service too. The sommelier and wine consultant were also very good. The plates were really beautifully presented and served on very elaborate tableware. Regarding the food, it was very good but not exceptional (for a Michelin-starred restaurant). For example, the roasted celeriac could have been more elaborate. I find it a bit simple for a Michelin-starred plate to arrange celeriac and a piece of beef with a jus that could have been more robust. Otherwise, the work on other products like the duck hearts is really well done (even if it might not please everyone). A positive point is the dessert, which was truly superior (it was an apple dessert in my memory), prepared in several shapes and textures, and it was very balanced.

Seven-course service. The dining room is original and very charming. The table is very spacious, which is great for feeling comfortable. The furniture is of excellent quality. The staff is truly exceptional. No complaints whatsoever. The sommelier is incredible and introduced us to a wine we're now fans of :) The quality of the food is excellent. A very good restaurant in every respect. The Michelin star is well deserved. Congratulations to everyone for your hard work and dedication! 🙏🏻

Tuesday, July 22nd, table of 4, 2 rooms. Unanimous opinion: everything exceeded our expectations. High professionalism at every level, warm welcome, friendly advice, and always a touch of humor with just the right touch. Excellent evening, beautiful dishes, subtle combinations, perfect balance. Excellent breakfast, very pleasant rooms. And all this near the magnificent Château d'Azay. A wonderful discovery. April 11, 2026...the dishes are superb, perfectly cooked, inventive combinations that respect the ingredients. In short, an excellent evening that confirms in every respect my initial review from last July.
