28/08/2026: Top-notch ice cream shop! 👌🏻 🤩 The ice cream is homemade, the flavors are excellent, and the ingredients are high quality (pieces of pistachios, hazelnuts, etc.). The prices are fair for the quality and flavors. The shop is conveniently located just 20 meters from the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, allowing you to enjoy your ice cream in the courtyard, which is free to access. A great place for a delicious treat.

06/09/2026: I loved this charming little tea room, where the welcome was so pleasant and warm! Lovely, original, and tempting pastries, a wide selection of hot and cold drinks (the tea selection is magnificent), and a variety of ice creams and biscuits. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted! A pleasant interior and a small terrace overlooking the street.

29/08/2026: Three days in Azay-le-Rideau, and three visits to Biscuithé! We could have gone every day, trying out different treats: excellent ice cream, delicious cakes and cookies, excellent homemade tarts, and a wide variety of drinks and teas. The staff were welcoming and friendly; thank you for these relaxing moments :)

23/08/2026: After the show "The Conspiracy of Azay," we were looking for a place for a last drink before the end of the evening. We received a wonderfully warm welcome and excellent wine recommendations, which were truly delicious!! (I should mention we're from Burgundy). A huge thank you for the chat and the recommendations for vineyards and great places to eat! We'll definitely be back because we absolutely must try the food 😍

24/08/2026: La Crédence is a charming restaurant located very close to the entrance of the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau. It has three indoor dining rooms, a street-side terrace, and a pleasant, non-smoking garden. From the first-floor window, you can see the entrance to the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau. The welcome is cordial and warm. The atmosphere is cozy. The menu is delicious. There are options for people with celiac disease, including gluten-free choices, as well as vegetarian options. The prices are very reasonable, and the dishes we chose were delicious and generous. The order of the photos: Gazpacho with minted peas, pork terrine with hazelnuts, carrot and orange crumble, pork stew with Chinon wine, Caesar salad, pollack with mixed vegetables, close-up of the first-floor dining room, and street view.

16/08/2026: A magnificent experience at L’Aigle d’Or! Passing through Azay-le-Rideau from Reims to explore this beautiful region, we had the pleasure of dining at L’Aigle d’Or, and what an excellent evening it was! We chose the Envol menu: a true discovery from beginning to end. Magnificent dishes, refined cuisine, a wealth of flavors and wonderful combinations, with a particular focus on local produce. This approach was especially appreciated and gave even more meaning to this beautiful cuisine. Special mention must also go to the absolutely impeccable service: a smiling, attentive, friendly, and humorous team, all while remaining highly professional. The wine recommendation was particularly well-chosen, perfectly complementing our menu. Finally, what a pleasure it was to dine in this lovely garden, under this magnificent tree! A peaceful and charming setting that greatly contributed to the success of the evening. We left delighted, both by the cuisine and by the warm welcome and the ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return on our next trip to the Touraine region. Thank you to the entire team for this delightful experience!

13/05/2026: We had dinner and stayed one night at this establishment and were delighted with our choice. The meal (a seven-course menu for us) was served in a beautiful, contemporary dining room with a view of the surrounding nature. It was flawless, both in terms of the cuisine (refined and inventive) and the service. The only slight criticism was that the portions were a little too generous to truly appreciate the end of the meal and the petit fours offered with coffee. We opted to stay in the cabin-style rooms: an excellent choice! They are very spacious, beautifully decorated, and one of the two had a view of the surrounding nature (unfortunately, the other overlooked the back of the neighbors' house at the end of the garden). The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower. Absolutely fantastic!

30/12/2025: I stayed here last May with my family on a trip through France and Germany. This hotel was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. However my favorite part of this town were the cats. We had been in France for 3-4 days and I did not see any cats. I missed mine back home very much. When we arrived late at night there were several near the shops and hotel.

13/11/2025: Comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. The castle is a 5-minute walk away. Spacious and comfortable room. Highly recommended!
