L'Aigle d'Or sur Azay-Le-Rideau

A magnificent experience at L’Aigle d’Or! Passing through Azay-le-Rideau from Reims to explore this beautiful region, we had the pleasure of dining at L’Aigle d’Or, and what an excellent evening it was! We chose the Envol menu: a true discovery from beginning to end. Magnificent dishes, refined cuisine, a wealth of flavors and wonderful combinations, with a particular focus on local produce. This approach was especially appreciated and gave even more meaning to this beautiful cuisine. Special mention must also go to the absolutely impeccable service: a smiling, attentive, friendly, and humorous team, all while remaining highly professional. The wine recommendation was particularly well-chosen, perfectly complementing our menu. Finally, what a pleasure it was to dine in this lovely garden, under this magnificent tree! A peaceful and charming setting that greatly contributed to the success of the evening. We left delighted, both by the cuisine and by the warm welcome and the ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return on our next trip to the Touraine region. Thank you to the entire team for this delightful experience!

VEGAN DELIGHT. We requested a vegan menu in advance and the chef created a 7 course meal that was the best any of us had ever experienced. Wonderful service and atmosphere, too!

A true gastronomic gem! Each dish is a work of art, but above all, a veritable explosion of flavors. The combinations are exceptionally refined and creative, while perfectly respecting the ingredients. You can taste the chef's work, passion, and talent in every bite. The service is on par with the cuisine: attentive, warm, and discreet. As for the value for money, it is simply remarkable considering the experience offered. We had an exceptional time, one that you won't forget. L'Aigle d'Or richly deserves to be known and recognized. In my opinion, this restaurant has all the hallmarks of a Michelin-starred establishment, and the chef fully deserves this distinction. A must-visit in Touraine, where you'll leave already wanting to return.

First time at this restaurant. The welcome was excellent, the place is intimate and charming. The staff is young and very professional with great kindness. The flavors are perfectly balanced, as is the presentation of the dishes. It's easily on par with some Michelin-starred restaurants. The only slight drawback is that perhaps a little more portion size would make it perfect 👍🏻, but I want to reassure you, we didn't leave hungry either ;) Well done to the whole team, we'll be back! - July 2026: Second visit to this restaurant. Still just as good, clearly deserves a Michelin star. However, the portions are still a little small. Otherwise, it's perfect. Well done to everyone!
