Delicious meals Wonderful dining experience

The chef at Auguste creates a phenomenal plate - six or eight times in the pre-planned dinner - and the wait staff deliver it with a fine touch. Black truffles were the theme of the night, and we enjoyed them with frog legs, pigeon, and so many other things. It was a night to remember.

Very nice time spent in this restaurant. Whether in the kitchen but also in the service. It's a young and motivated team. Thanks to them.

We had lunch at the Auguste restaurant and came out very disappointed. . In terms of cuisine, the starter soup with onions was not very original, dominated by the taste of mushrooms, with an original texture of small onions left a little crispy which I did not appreciate. The dishes (can, red mullet) were good but without sparkle, the products (spinach, fish) were barely processed. The puree has no taste. The desserts (100pct cocoa and blueberry cocoa coffee cream) are a disparate assembly with things that are good (cream) and others not (coffee sorbet). 3 poor tasteless blueberries enhance the dish, not sure that it is worth mentioning them in the title of the dessert. The appetizers also had very little taste or interest. The bread (traditional baguette) and butter were perfectly ordinary. Price wise, the smallest glass of wine costs 20 euros. Only the champagne convinced us that this award was even slightly deserved, not the Burgundies we tasted. We feel that it is with drinks that the restaurant makes its income... Which brings us to the next point. The service, rather OK and friendly but with two complaints for me that are not acceptable in such a restaurant. First one of the waiters smelled body odor. I know they have a physical job but it's not normal. Furthermore, we found them insistent at the start of the meal on the drinks, coming to ask for our choice when clearly we had not finished our glasses of champagne and were chatting. In short, I advise against it.

We took the discovery menu and asked to change a starter, it was no problem. Everything was delicious (the quail, the scallops). Excellent service. Additionally, I had marked on the website when booking that it was my husband's birthday, and they offered an extra dessert with a candle. We enjoyed it a lot and we will come back with pleasure.

I enjoyed very well thé dîner. Mr Orieux is an amazing chef .
