Aux Delices Des Halles sur Les Herbiers

It's always a pleasure to eat at Aux Délices des Halles; Agnes and Patrice always welcome us with a smile. The dishes are delicious and seasonal. Special mention goes to the burgers and the octopus, which are excellent, and the homemade chocolate mousse, which is superb!

A wonderful discovery: everything is homemade. We had the Camembert and the roasted octopus: a real treat for the taste buds! The chocolate mousse with fleur de sel and the homemade nougat glacé: an exceptional discovery. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place. I wanted to change my dish 5 minutes after choosing. Right at opening, the lady judged it too late without asking the chef, and there were only two people in the dining room. We also didn't ask how the steak was cooked, so I got it red, even though I don't like it. A good positive: my son liked it, and the waitress knew how to interact with him 😊

Dinner tonight at Délices des Halles. While passing through the region on our way to Puy du Fou, we stopped in this village to fill up with gas and do some shopping. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while browsing Google Maps. Very good restaurant, well located, easy to park and easy to access. A charming little traditional restaurant with a very pleasant and welcoming waitress. We had an aperitif, served with complimentary peanuts, then mussels marinière for the wife and lamb shank for me. For dessert, lemon crème brûlée. Everything was excellent; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and lovingly prepared. Our only downside was the price. A little expensive for an aperitif, main course, and dessert. But it's still worth the detour. I recommend it :)
